308 win does shoot 7.62x51 nato. you can't shoot 308 win out of a nato 7.62x51 rifle because of the higher pressure. but your dpms can shoot nato. i should know, i have one...

I didn't think the chamber pressures were any different between 7.62x51 and .308 Winchester. I thought it was only .223 and 5.56 that were the different ones

DPMS LR 308 is the best out of all of them, good price, well made, shoots 1moa out of the box. Remington 700, blah bolt action, dont like them for multiple target engagements. Springfield Armory is overpriced and shoots 2moa at best unless you get the match grade ones which are ridiculously overpriced imo. DPMS LR 308 is the way to go.

@danysniper22 Sorry about that, I was holding the dpms and talking about the remington. I just meant If I bought another remington 700 it would be in 7.62x51 rather than .308, after a 7.62 casing is fired in my rifle, the brass expands and is lodged very tight in the chamber requiring tools to remove. I think I would also opt for a heavy barrel.
