I love doing it, even when I'm not drunk. I just love singing (and doing other vocals) in front of large crowds (and 90% of people who do karaoke can't sing anyway, so even if you're not a performer, but have good pitch, people would love you anyway). I've done it so many times by now anyway... I've been performing metal live for 6 or 7 years (not constantly, though, because of bad luck starting a band in college). If you can sing, definitely try it sometime. It's the closest thing to the stage.

Do it... karaoke is the best... it's the closest to being on stage, and if you haven't performed much or at all, it's a great way to work on your nerves or just to improve your live performance overall. Even if you don't sing, tho, you can go up there and just have a good time. Worst that can happen is you make people laugh, but what's so bad about that hahah?
