  • That show was Sick. Cant wait to see them again, Avalon was a fun time, Bleed the Dream was good that night too.

  • @oxhondagodxo Bleed the dream was amazing that night :)

I don't remember the name of the other opening band but the singer was kind of odd...

  • why does kyo seem to be the only singer in a metal band that can actually sing and scream?...he seriously makes everyone look bad...lol...cuz well..they are

  • i totally agree lol

  • I was there. I got some of his blood on me x3

and I almost caught SHinya's drumstick....but it slipped and some girl stuck in her pants...

    -_-;

  • dude do you think that they're coming back to the U.S. anytime soon?

  • Actually they are, check their Myspace.

  • They are. They're touring for their new cd, oburoros or something, and they're coming to LA with the Human Abstract in november. BE THERe. Im going. It's in november.

  • ya colorado is the last stop... figures. i gotta wait until decmeber 5th.

  • @IRideFixedBeard I was about an inch away from catching a guitar pick </3

  • love this song!!!! KYO = LOVE

  • love this song

  • I was there :D

I got pushed to the far left though -_- I was still really close to Kyo hehe. I got some of his spit on me xD It was fawken great! I can't wait to go again.

  • OOOOOOOHHHHH! so fn' lucky! T__T!

  • dir en grey's transformation of their music doesn't says their music is getting worse . .

they just showing to the world that they are improving their skills and they can do better than other bands . .

no bands wants to be stuck in same genre for 10 years . .

stop commenting that they are getting worst . .

u can't say it is worst because music is all about its uniqueness and perfection . .

  • i so wanna go there next concert x3

  • actually visual kei has really been leaving the scene lately its not as popular as it use to be O.O, I mean before thats all I saw now they toned it down alot

  • their style changed throughout their years I think they changed because they were influenced by Korn which they were touring with. but they still kick ass even though they quit the visual kei scene =D

  • Their style has been changing way before they even hit the US borders. If you listen to all the albums up until Marrow, you can tell they wanted to have a harder style. The Marrow and WTD to style aren't very different from each other. They are different, but not that different. It started way before they toured with KoRn.

  • Thank god too, Korn is terrible.

  • ...Korn is not so great NOW... but they were pretty amazing back in the day...

  • VK is divine beauty for you guys down there. its beautiful. obviously theres more in the music and stuff but in terms of style VK is beautifully awesome lol

  • Dude, this was after his surgery. From the screaming on Withering to Death and Vulgar, he had to get vocal surgery. So yeah, he has has some trouble but im suprised he can do that well after it.

  • lol He never had vocal surgery. He had tonsilitis right before the very first Inward scream show in Japan.

  • lol i was

    this was an awesome show

i was at the mosh pits :D

  • They're so different now a days.

Try checking out their songs "Cage" or "Raison Detre".

I think they made big changes to their style. Anyways, they can sing very well if they wanted to. They're just not doing it in this song, and nobody said that they're singing and they don't have to sing if they don't want to.

  • It's not supposed to be singing. This song is all about the negativity. The title and number of times Kyo repeats the words "fuck you" and "fuck off" might give you a hint. You want singing, try Conceived Sorrow or Namamekashiki Ansoku, Tomadoi ni Hohoemi. Or check out Gyakujou Tannou Keloid Milk so Kyo can show off the range he's capable of.

  • As for your "eeeeew" remark... well Kyo already said it best in the song, so I need make no reply. =p

Personally I enjoyed this immensely - for about the 97th time this week, lol. Thanks for sharing rbcp82.

  • Lol, Dir en grey are not a visual kei band, they're not about looking pretty you fucking dyke. Learn about music, fat bitch.

  • Jesus. don't b hatin. im just a little girlie who voiced her opinions n i didn't mean to piss ppl off. gawd. n i do appreciate musical talent. thanks everfree1998 for kinda saying smthn good n helpful instead of fucking cussing me out.

  • I think I see my arms near the end of the video XDD

  • Wankitty wank wank fooching wank. We're supposed to be commenting on the video, not arguing about bootlegs and FWA. Send a pm and stfu. =p

About the video... amazing footage. Bless your heart, you kept the camera steady the entire time. Thanks for sharing.

  • I seen these guys live here in Fresno about 2 months ago and fucking shit they were so good. Talk about a once in a lifetime event lol bands like them don't come around here too often so it was very nice to see.

  • Dude they say WARCON, but if you are happy with it, then fine, they say "Muya" *sigh*

  • Bad luck i think, and no, mines don't say Muya Records, neither Miya Records.

  • Tsk.. Tsk... too bad you think that way, I feel sorry for you 8)

  • $40? I got 'em in Mexico for like US$12, if you can't search a little isn't my problem, spammer

  • LOL Spam

  • i love kyo's high pitch scream

  • haha LOL i can see shinya beat the shiitt outta the drum kit

  • One of the best unofficial hand filmed videos out there. Thank you!

  • oh god i'm seeing dir en grey in 2 weeks tomorrow (1st august) and I'm so SO excited.. omg *bounces*

  • Kaoru is the one wanting to go "American" (if "american" = hardcore) and he said that VK is a crap now in an interview in fuse 0_o

  • in kerrang he said that VK today is 'just /cute/ and pretty and colourful'

he doesn't see the point in it now

  • well yeah that's what i meant for "crap"

  • 95% of VK is crap

  • How many bands of VK do you know(can you name some)?

  • L'arc is crap >_>

  • Oh that band?

I'm not too sire if they're in the Visual Kei since the lead the singer is the only one with the looks. They're just a plain J-rock band. Check out bands like Unsraw and their song "9". They're the true Visual Kei band. Oh, and bands like Gazette and their songs like "no.666". So you only know one band who's not Visual Kei and it's automatically 95%?

  • the screams at the beginning have sort of a vk quality to them

  • I remember that high pitched scream in the video.

I've seen Dir en grey in other concerts performing the song Grief and he went even higher everybody at the concert was like holy shit. My ears hurt on that one.

He wasn't doing his best high pitched screaming on this one. Trust me.

  • I was at that show :)

  • Me too~~ :D

    Where were you at?

  • towards the back, close to the entrance of the theater/stage itself. n_n

  • O: Seriously? It got THAT full!? Wow.

  • holy shit, the two screams he does near the end he hits so perfectly, its fukin awesome

  • am i the only one that noticed no one was on beat. also pointing out theyre only using like 3 frets.

i dono i just am not into the whole prance around in girls pants screaming thing?

    my opinion

  • you need to listen the song more before you make stupid comments like that. Nobody is off beat. You're being an attention-craving jackass.

  • oh, and just a question...why is everyone so eager to catagorize bands? especially bands that seem to be constantly evolving a new sound for themselves, like Dir en grey? i mean isn't music you like vs music you don't like sufficient enough catagorization?

  • *claps hands* you put that so simply thank you! now i know what to say to people who piss me off like that. i agree with you 100%

  • ~cont.~ like i went to a Tool concert a few days after my Dir en grey concert and 京 honestly put Maynard to shame...he made him look old and pathetic. don't get me wrong, i love Tool, but Dir en grey's performance was so amazing it even put Tool to shame...and that means a lot because i love Tool. buuuut, that's just my opinion :)

  • yeah, i saw Dir en grey a few weeks ago and seriously one of, if not the best concert ive been to; and ive seen Tool, NIN, Brand New, KMFDM, Combichrist ect. (i don't know how anyone else feels about those bands, but they're definately some of my favorite bands to date) and the stage presence 京 has is so immense, its almost hypnotic....

  • i completely agree wit DirenGrey187...

i was expecting a meteocre show and was more there just to see them up close but in all honesty...

it was one of the greatest shows i have ever seen live

  • hey I think Diru's awsm, and I live in the southeast.

  • In my opinion Dir en Grey is so much better when you actually see them. You don't get the full effect of Dir en Grey watching videos like this.

  • Thats true, tho i havent seen Diru yet, i have felt that with many bands *e.g maiden* just watching vids is different, in the live recording process so much detail and quality is lost

  • Are you retarded? Slipknot? You'd probably compare Deathgaze as a japanese comparison to Slipknot, but Dir en grey is -NOT- a true 'hardcore' band.

And really, they have the power to create whatever style of music they want. You people are just deluded. Dir en grey are very new metal inspired; they are not a visual kei band.

Accept it, and stop fucking whining. Lazy fat cunt.

  • Oh my God, did you just mention Slipknot :D You think that's rough? I'm not talking about any emofag bands that you listen to. Go cry me a river.

  • Lol, it really is up to a band to decide the direction they will head.

Besides, Dir en grey are very 'new metal' inspired, and up to par with bands such as Stone Sour. Obviously they're going to start making songs in english.

    Complaining won't help, idiot.

  • "Complaining won't help" but hey he is the one who goes every video "COMPLAIN TO WARCON TO GET MORE MERCHANDISE OF DIRU!!" 8)

Yes I Agree, Dir en grey are Nu Metal/Hardcore inspired since the beggining, just take a look at ZAN at least :>

  • i was there! by the looks of where you're recording you must be on the second floor on the right erm....in the front I was in the back of that side.i miss that day.

  • XDDD

    I was there!!!

I'm in like the left side of the crowd!

    x]

  • kyo, please stop screaming =[ he has such a pretty voice, i miss their visual kei days =[

i am still very much in love with dir en grey though ^-^

  • ...At 1:28.

Why does he squeal like a pig, then scream "ONION BURGER!" ?

    xD

  • XD!!

  • I don't understand Kyo in the slightest. xD

  • even when he sings in japanese, it's still gibberish

  • i totally agree. they're starting to sound and look more and more like american shit... not that i'm trying to diss them in any way cuz they are still good. it's just that they're losing the whole japanese feeling...

  • DAMIT i loive in los angeles and dident hear about this nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dir en Grey is the shiznit. Deal with it peeps. ANYWAYS, OMG I WISH I COULD GO TO ONE OF THERE CONCERTS!!! *Can't go-exams, moving around, bills X(* IF I EVER GO TO A DeG CONCERT, I'LL TELL KYO I'M SOMEONE'S SISTER SO HE'LL HAVE TO FUCK ME! 8D!! *is insane* And yeah, I am devastated at the lack of VK, but I remain a loyal fan for life! SPIT BLOOD ON ME KYO!!!...As long I'm not wearing new clothes...XD!

  • hello we meet again. dir en grey are finally becoming noticed in amerika is see this is good.

  • I was there, if that was the second night at the Avalon.

I was kindof new to Diru, but now its like, one of my favorite bands.

This is also a pretty good video; you can see the whole stage, when its visible through the strobe lights.

  • omfg i was goin crazy to that song i was there lol cool!

  • haha loved this he can still do the girly screams live XD (CANT WAIT TO SEE THEM FIRST TIME IN UK!!!) annnnnddd i agree about all the lazy americans etc i am 100% gutted about the visual kei =[ i love it so much. oh well the music is still mind blowing XD. <3 Dir En Grey <3

  • I WANNA SEE THEM PLAY THE DEEPER VILENESS!!!!!!!! ON JUNE 16 at the rave

  • omg i didnt even no fans want him to sing in english...wat fags...thank u for understand wat they should do, and i agree. it sounds better in jap anyways. more melodical while in english, all gibberish like

  • i actually like it when kyo sings in english, i enjoy trying to figure out what he says XD but they ARE japanese, so why not continue singing in japanese? i love how it sounds in japanese. they shouldnt change their style for anyone except themselves. i love them anyway <3

  • I know.

But shouldn't Diru do what they want?

Or do they like the way they are now O.O

Ugh. I'm afraid they'll stay this way forever.

  • Wow we have a lot of the same thoughts.

And isn't Die the only one in the band who can speak fluent english?

Kyo is better off singing in Japanese than english.

    -.-

  • die can speak fluent english?? 0.o

  • Yeah, he can.

    You didn't notice that?

  • Agreed.

    They really have changed .___.

    But I've seen some of the interviews on some of these vids, and it said that they're just doing this because its "What the Americans want" or something like that. >.<;

  • Oh I know. I like the old Diru x_x;;

And the fact that now Kyo is singing in english, you can never understand what he's saying. It bothers me like fuck.

  • rofl kyo sounds like hes saying in the beggining instead of " THATS FUCKING BULLSHIT" it sounds like.."THAT FUCKING PUSSAY!!!"

  • lol.

  • I'm wondering why you think, that it's the labels "fault" that they become more heavier when they allways say, that they don't care about what people say about how there music should sound like etc..

If you're such a fangirl who just like a band 'cause they do some Indie-J-Pop-we're-sexy-but-our-music-is-the-shit-fanservice or whatever, shut the fuck up and go listen to An Cafe, Panic Channel or whatever. It's been 8 years since Gauze was released.

  • i dont get why no one saw diru's change to metal coming, i mean if u listen to missa then gauze or macabre, the latter stuff is a lot heavier in comparison, also, ppl dont realise this, but japan has a LOT of metal bands [and no, i dont mean heavier vk bands like despairs ray]. so it may not be the labels fault, especially when u consider how much they changed while on a japanese label

  • honestly their old stuff are shit cuz their record label fucked with the songs so they would attract more general audience

if deg were in indie scene back then, the songs would have been much better

vulgar was fucking amazing wtd was pretty good moab is amazing but some people like u can't stand the their style change y don't u just deal with it? they wanna play aggressive music, it's their friggin music not yours

  • love it!! ^^

  • "I say destroy fuck off" Kyo sounds so english then ^___^

  • Hoomg, you forgot itoshisa D:

    That's an awesome song T__T

  • The "high pitched scream" is a screetch fools...and dir en grey has turned some serious shit, this song sucks. And screams of maggots sucks too, he says the same 4 lines over and over..and there are no solos or anything. wtf happend? america happend.

  • i love this song XD Shinya!! i love the drumming

  • Shuuuuut the fuck up you cunt, if it bothers you so much, why don't you start your own fucking band and do everything opposite of what you're bitching about. Idiot.

  • IM GOIN TO SEE THEM JUNE sixteenth. DIR EN GREY FUCKIN PWNS!

  • I saw them 4 months ago.

Have fun at their concert though.

Pay attention to the band and try and remember everything you've seen. Chances are, you'll suffer what most of us do. FORGETTING WHAT HAPPENED AT THE GIG D:

  • I dont plan on getting wasted. and plus Dir en grey is my FAVORITE band. I LOVE DIR EN GREY

  • aw his little high pitched noise right before :20 is so kawaiiiii :3

    *chu

  • ...they scream too much anymore. the new cd has way too much of it. withering to death was better. but i love all their old stuff...sum of their new stuff too

  • well, the vk outfits won't happen, i'm afraid. not until they've understood that we love them even though they're weird japaneses xD

butt i agree, bann the emos! x_x

  • When Kyo screams..like really high..

    ...It's so fucking hot XDDD

  • omgosh i know!!!

  • i wish they actually put wat diru is saying in jap in the booklets so u can sing along to it. or have both, cuz i love singing diru songs. i enjoy it much more than american music.

  • HAHA ilove when kyo goes "so fucking...BULLSHIT"

  • No, "That's fucking bullshit"

  • this song is my fav

  • yeah buddy i was there man... i don't know if anybody remembers me, but I was the big black guy going crazy in the mosh pit. This was a really good show, and I am upset that I have never gotten a chance to see them before this. I definitely won me over as an eternal fan.

  • did you have an afro?

  • hey yeah i saw ya' but i was on top.

  • I'm going to see them in august, it's going to fuckin' pwn *__* I cant wait!

  • Holyfuck me too! It's going to ROCK! But I wish they'd play the whole night instead of Deftones. XD

  • LOL! I tried to write down all the songs they played too. Keyword being tried but i was too wired on adrenaline and caffine to do much thinking. I'm going to see deftones too! Just to see Diru! I hope that they play Child Prey!

  • Yea, man! But I figured out the setlist for that night. ^___^ I'd see about any band just to see Diru over and over. X3 Dude, seriously! We should meet up or something...? I was alone that night, but I still had fun! Buwaha! >D

  • HOLY SHIT I WAS AT THAT CONCERT!!!!

  • AMG I LOV EYOU

  • ah i was supposed to be there. grrr but i ran outta money, i went to one on friday. ah but yes great song I LOVE IT!

  • Now that's what I call singing.

  • omfg this song is so fucking good best song of diru ever!!

  • This was amazing at the Chicago show. And about I'd say 20-40some people passed out and were taken away from the pit. It was pretty rough, well just the place being so small with so many people.

  • wow...

i want to be there ><

  • Wow, I didn't know if he could pull off those girly screams live, but he did it. <3

  • you can't even call this singing...

  • It's a matter of personal opinion.

Dir en grey are not a visual kei band. If you don't like it, don't bother to check up on their latest work. Fucking stupid tit.

  • Dir En Grey is coming to little Denmark 8/8/2007!! I'm just so going.. Hope they play this song!

  • Most likely they'll play it! ^_^ &&It's AMAZING live!

  • Holy crap, quality is awesome. Love this song too!

  • Front row on Kaoru's side 2 nights in a row awesome...haha they're all probably hung over drinking with Yoshiki to celebrate Shinya's bday

  • THEY PWN ASS < 3

  • omg... his voice in da beginning... like it was not him... lol

  • Toshiya...

    I touched Toshiya's hand *drols*

    hahahahahaa

    awesome concert!!!!

I went to the Wiltern one n.n

    thanks for upload this!

  • I was there! XD Right in front of Kyo. <3 <3

  • I was there haha. Great song. I really really wished they played some of their older stuff :[[

  • fucking cool !!

  • I was there! Front row right in front of Kaoru. That show kicked so much ass. And GRIEF was amazing live. <3

  • I was there too! o.o we probably saw each other haha

  • Shinya plays even better on his bday =3

just look at the way he flails his arms around <3

hes using double bass too! youre my hero shinya~

  • lmfao, 'worse' song? GRIEF kicks everything's ass.

  • This songs awesome

  • One of the worst songs of Dir en grey.

  • Lol, they're not your faggish visual kei band anymore, alright? They are very new metal inspired. So shut the fuck up and pipe down, you fat tit.

  • My God you're pathetic. Japs just can't do music like this, so why can't they do what they can do. When I want to listen something more rough, I don't listen to Japanese bands because they suck at it. And that's a fact.

  • Rofl, it's a matter of personal perspective. The truth is that Dir en grey is not hardcore, and you are a fag. :D

  • Now that's original, did your mom teach you to say that? Seriously, shut the fuck up.

  • Rofl, have a cry.

And you're a bit stupid saying the japs can't do hardcore music. Perhaps you need to look outside visual kei related music.

Listen to grief of WAR, GRIM FORCE, DEFILED and other actual japanese metal bands. They are just as good as any other fucking metal band.

What a dipshit. Looks at the faggish visual kei then tries to say japs can't do metal. Naturally fags in dresses won't do metal, ya cockfuck.

  • You. Make. My. Brain. Bleed.

The main point here is that Dir en grey is not good in this genre, actually they are fuckin' pathetic. They should stick to what they are good at or learn before they put something on CD.

I mainly listen to death metal (that is not Slipknot) and jrock, and when a jrock band tries something like this it just sounds horrible. It has no balls and it fails miserably.

There may be some other bands that can do it, but Deg can't.

  • Matter. of. opinion.

If you don't like the band, don't watch the video and don't clog up the video page with your overly opinionated comments. Just because some "hard core death metal rocker" thinks they're cool, doesn't mean we think so.

  • Lol, well maybe you shouldn't generalize. There are plenty of good Japanese death metal bands (try Kadenzza, noob).

And I never said Slipknot was good. Some fucknut tried to compare Dir en grey to them, so I mentioned what could actually be compared to Slipknot (i.e - deathgaze).

  • @Rad1kus Dir En Grey has no genre and if you want to hear better vocals from dir en grey u should watch obscure live 2010 from budokan

  • yeah I was at the wiltern show too, it was a great audience, they were very into it but not being violent, it was indeed a great show =] I would love to see them again, and seeing this vid of one of my favorite songs brings back the good memories of the show, thanks for the excellent upload ^_^

  • And what do you mean more craziness? I was talking to a guy before the show that went to the wiltern and he said that the crowd was all relaxed and didn't even mosh and we weren't even sold out. As far as performance goes I wouldn't know but the Avalon was freakin bad ass! Shinya's so beautiful! We sang happy bithday to him! ^o^ Thank you so much for the vid!

  • That concert wasn't enough for me. I wanted more. *sigh* that does it. Next time i'm going to both if they ever tour here again. And i'm going to AZ as well! I was right at the edge of the screen in front of the speaker next to Die.

  • I was there!in front of Die to!

  • *dies (pun not intended)* I was the one screaming 'Omedite Tanjobi' if you happened to have heard it. Did you end up touching him when he got really close to the crowd?! He's so pretty! I just about died when BOTH Kaoru and Die where in front of us! Damnit Toshiya move around more next time! *cries*

  • I think i did hear u! Yea but sadly i didn't get very close to die when he came off the stage.. :( But, I did get his PICK!!!Hell Yea He is HOTT!! xD

  • DAMN YOU! So lucky! Do you or ANYone for that matter remember what song they closed with? I know that The Final was the first but what was the last?

  • Eh... I'm not sure but I'll ask my friend who went with me...

  • The IIID Empire

I wrote down the whole setlist when I got home.

As lightheaded as I was I still managed. XD

Damn, I can't wait til Aug now! >D

  • They played this at the Wiltern. I loved it. x3

  • amazing quality

do you have anymore like this?

  • I was at this show and it fucking rocked so hate on but it was the shit!!!
