@HOIHOIHOI735 I believe the composers reason for putting the more happy song in after was to convey the feelings of Hit Girl, just kind of enjoying herself, which for me added the to the brutality of the scene. And also adds to the "lets just kick ass" theme of the movie.

The build up to the song is also reflected in her expression, nervous as the the agents form up in the hallway.

@bioshockrocker Overall i really like this soundtrack, it feels somehow very modern. Lots of guitar pieces, band equipment in general, are used.

My favourite example of this is the piece Flying Home. Best piece of the whole sound track IMO is definitely Strobe in saving Big Daddy Scene. Although it's a remixed version from the movie Sunshine, it fits very well, and just kicks ass.

It's not Kryptonite from 3 doors down. It sounds a bit like it, so maybe it was inspired by it, but it's clearly different. And I guess the guy in the Kryptonite video does look like a 50 year old Kick Ass.

hello, I am 62 years old now, and I still rock and remember when that song first came out. Sounded like Suzi Quatro (check her out) but it was the Runaways (great movie, btw) and it just rocked major. Around motor city we had the MC5, Patti Smith, and Ted Nugent at the time, but the Runaways were always real sweethearts, so it is so great to hear Joan Jett's music in this great Kick-Ass movie. thanx for you intro
