@33Muslimah I use the chain 1 and pull up only as the step up to the next round. The reason I do this is because I like to work full stitches instead of the chain 3. The chain will leave holes and gaps, so I prefer working the full stitch.
What happened to this video Loopy Crochet Granny Square and Loopy Flower - Granny Square I was just watching it a few days ago did u delete it man i like thoses videos how can i buty them :(
You are awesome! I have made 2 hats, 5 scarves and now I want to make an afghan. Your voice is calming and you make things look easy. By the way how do I connect all my squares together and can I make different squares and attach them together? I mean can I make different looking squares and attach them? I see you have all different ones and they are all amazing. Can't choose!!!! I never thought I would love crocheting and now I am hooked! I am totally addicted and covered in yarn! :)
Thank you for the comment. I have a couple videos showing how to connect squares. I even have a random square afghan that I put together. It will put you in the mind of the granny afghan on the couch of the show Roseanne. The one I did has a variety of squares that were around 6 inches. Not all were exactly 6 inches. I tried to keep the squares around 6 inches with in 1/2 an inch either direction. They will fit. I will send you links for joining squares.
if i were to work this pattern with two strands held together (four colors altogether) , what size hook would you suggest? it doesnt matter to me what the finished size of the square would be.
Your videos are wonderful! :) I'm a birth mother, and I really want to make baby blankets for my twin girls. Would connecting granny squares to make an afghan work well for that? If so, do you have a tutorial on how to connect granny squares? Thank you so much!
you are superb my friend gave me a book of granny squares they are great but i just cant get them i do something wrong when i see your videos it comes so easy and simple.
Didn't know how to crochet a second ago, but now i think i got it, thanks for the slow-mow hand action, it gave me an idea of what to do.

Theresa, this will be put on the "list" of many projects for me. Love it!

why do you "pull up" the yarn? Like for round 2, after chaining one, you "pulled up" the yarn and then began crocheting.....
Thanks!

I was thinking of using a yarn thats thicker for the bram part of the yearn. Would that look bad? I was thinking it would make it stand out more...

That sounds like an interesting idea. I suggest that you try it. Please post a picture on my facebook page when you are finished.

I was wondering if i was to continue snd make an afagan, would it work? because you cand do that with most square i assume.
Keo1998 2 years ago
I have not made it any larger so I don't know. You would be able to continue with a basic square.

What Yarn are you using? Red Heart? Can you give a little details about that?
Really like this Granny Square... Would love to make more different types of granny squares. Thanks !

I used 4-ply yarn. You can find 4-ply with any of the different yarn companies.
