How can a simple game show like this be interesting?! Moorehead was fantastic as an actress and I loved to know about her diamond starburst brooch, RavenGeorge.
What's scary is that many of these words could never be used in a game show today because everyone is so dumbed down. In fact, we can't even have word association shows. Say "ermine" to someone on the street and see what happens! Moorehead is a class act, as always.
I wonder how Agnes's touchy-feely would go over in contemporary, post-PC society. I think it very charming when a person is like that. It shows confidence and empathy. Lovit!
Agnes is obviously very smart , and definitely one of the greatest actors ever, but Barry Nelson was no slouch either. And he had a role in a Kubrick film!
Wow. Look at how everybody is dressed. So elegant ! So classy ! Amazing. They speak so gentle and respectful to each other too. I would go back to the 60's and 70's if I could. I tried twitching my nose and snapping my fingers but... it didn't work.
Always loved Agnes Moorehead...and it's great to see Allen Ludden (Password's lont-time host) again! He was such an elegant, handsome gentleman and became even more so as he aged. Had a great wit, as well.
Some of you might know, Mr. Ludden was Betty White's husband until he passed in 1981 (I think it was).
Its kinda intressting to see Agnes Moorehead without the endora make-up, however witch or no witch she seems to cast a spell over audiences like us. I also have to admit that it was intressting to see some of the morons she got paired with. She was so much smarter than them!
Thank you so much for posting these. It's very interesting to see Agnes not in a performance piece but as her true self. I just love it when she winks- makes me giggle.
Thank you, thank you, thank you RavenGeorge -- and bless your heart. I hope and pray that you, or somebody, are planning to post all five days. Oh please, please, please -- whenever you can. And thank you!!!!
GSN is currently in the midst of airing these (in fact the fourth episode is going to play in about an hour and the last one will air a day from now).
you are the absolute best!!!!!!!!!!! I thought these shows were lost forever! (and me being only 17....well I never would have gotten the chance to see them! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! Where did you find this??
ammccoy, I heard that Aggie's week on Password aired last week on the Game Show Network. Some folks must have recorded the five episodes. (I don't have television, myself.)
@ammccoy: The only reason these episodes still exist is that CBS re-edited the final daytime season of the original Password (1967-68) and released it into syndication in the fall of 1968 due to public demand (several collectors and the UCLA archive have unedited episodes on kinescope in their collections from this period).
I'm so glad you posted these. I was planning on doing it myself. Nobody compares to Agnes Moorehead. Always the best part of any picture. The best of the best. Thank you so much!!!!! :-)
Agnes had such an engaging, commanding personality, and sharp mind.

@4:24, to my eye, it looks like Barry Nelson is wearing a "rug". Does anyone know whether he wore toupées? That hair doesn't look real.
