The best thing about this kid compared to most of the "Next Ronaldinhos" that I have seen is that he defends. If you want to be a great soccer player, you have to do it all... Juggling is neat... dribbling and passing, important. But if you want to be GREAT (not good, great) you have to defend AND play great offense.

Good player , good feet strong and shows very good awareness to use the players around him unlike alot of the "prodigy" you see on youtube who don't pass it. Alot of the kids who don't have awareness and try beating the man all the time get found out when they hit 16yrs old and players are as quick and strong as them and they havn't developed any other part of their game.

He's ok, avarage by Brazilian standarts, the only thing i see in him that is better than say, Jean carlos Chera (Brazilian now with 12 yo) is his unselfishness, hes clears a player and passes the ball to get a better position upfield, but his kicks need much improvement in accuracy and power ( but hey, hes only 8 right ), and he will never be able to drible like JCC, but a good player if he keeps at it and gets training in fundamentals.

as I posted earlier, being able to dribble is a great advantage but when you get older and play against top opposition you need more awareness and able to play a pass than dribble. JCC posseses a fanstastic strike of a ball and good body movement but rarely looks to bring team mates into play. Technically on the ball JCC Better, but awareness wise and team play this kid Vlasic is much better.

He reminded me in one or two plays of Maradona (the video at field level where he scores with his left foot from the right side of the box ...very Maradona like). He also reminded me of Pele with his touches over players heads and then scoring.

Im usually sceptical about young kids but I gotta say this footage looks great.

no doubt, that kid is talented and has good technique. but the teams vlasic's team is playing against in this vid aren't so good. look 4 example at 1.40 where vlasic gets the ball in the middle of da field. the defenders are very bad, and the goalkeeper is even worse! you'd see sum kind of tricks if u put barca & ronaldinho play against 6th division teams. remember, they aren't professionals 8yrs old. but if he keeps training he can be sumthing (sorry 'bout my english :))

i agree with AIGhaffar he's an excellent player for his class but not proffesional material yet, he has really good speed and foot work but i think he would be a better mid then a forward, his shots are not very good as much as Juan Carlos Chera, this kid may be more of a team player but even when he does pass the ball off to his players nothing comes of it, JC Chera is a player who can make his whole team look good not including himself, but i still think this kid is good :)
