  • SPIRAL OUT AND KEEP GOING BROTHERS!

    Tool. Forever.

  • this singer is amazing...

  • omg ... who wouldn't like to play in your band ... definitely a favorite :D

  • great song and cover, better video. impressive

  • This is pretty awesome, I would love to be able to hear the drums more though.

  • i think you guys did a kick ass job, it sounds so nice and just like the real song

  • Really great job, the drums need to be louder and so does the bass.. But I understand there is nothing you can do about that.

One word of advice, I'd say the singer should add more chest distortion in his vocals, he's using ALOT of headvoice. Pretty much all of it, if he added some chest into it then he'd have more of the album tone. Just trying to help a little bit.

    Great job everyone!

  • You know Opiate, if I hadn't seen you in your videos already, I would be thoroughly convinced that you were Adam Jones.

  • lovely playing dude. i'm not sure if the bass sound better live but it comes off kind of on the lean side here :( needs a boost in the low end. even the bass drum is not too audible so i'm guessing the recording sucked out the low end.

  • If it weren't for the fact that no 2 people sound exactly the same, I would say this is Tool.

    Amazing.

  • holy fucking shit lol

  • The right instruments? If you have a band, what out of the three instruments required do you guys not have? The guitar, The bass, or the drums?

  • we have members who can play them but not enough money to buy quality enough instruments. :(

  • quality of the instrument doesn't matter nearly as much as your understanding of how to adjust your tone controls. I'm sure you could record a good enough recording with the instruments you currently have.

  • I wish that were so. We have to borrow instruments and amps because we just can't afford our own but we do sound really good when we can get our on hands are better stuff. I mean, we're like a poor man's band but one day we'll post some stuff online.

  • Well then dont go posting like an arrogant ass untill you get your broke ass some instruments and can back up your post's.

  • You're kind of ignorant but okay.

  • How was that being ignorant? You imply that you can do better, then say that you dont have the proper equipment to do it. As alot of these songs are a symbiosis of very unique technique, and very specific gear, I'm willing to bet that you guys could NOT do better.

  • When we have the proper equipment we do it very well because my band mates are guys I have known my whole life and who major in musical composition and while that's not as important with covers, they really understand the music. We're in a recession and I had to sell a lot of my equipment so that's how I see it to be ignorant. Some kids in fucking India could be the best band in the world and no one would know because they don't have instruments of their own.

  • Well it must suck to have so much unrecognized talent wasted due to not having expensive equipement. Anyway, the point remains. Don't sit there insinuating that you can do better than someone who has put alot of work into something, regardless of what it is, when you have no proof to back it up. If you cant get the gear, well that sucks for you, but you should probably just keep your own arrogant and snide comments to yourself.

  • What? I can't hear you. I just realized this is the internet.

    You just got punked.

  • Fossick. You are a giant douche bag. I will give you my address. Please arrive here so I may punch you in the face on principle alone...

  • I've always liked your stuff as well as opiate's...I just find it hilarious how people get so riled up over the internet when most of the shit I said here I typed it while laughing. How easy it is to offend people.

Honestly, keep doing what you're doing and maybe look to expand on the talent you have. If you can do good covers, you can probably write original stuff.

Now...I'm off to troll some more.

  • Of course it's easy to offend people, even easier on the internet. If you find it amusing to Troll, or act like you were Trolling when you can't think of any comebacks, then expect to get treated like a 10 year old.

  • Comebacks? what is this? a comedy central show? A TBS sitcom?

You've never had your balls busted?

I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on instruments and I'm glad that people like you do and can do what they're passionate about Didn't you see the ":p" in my first post? I was busting your balls and just going along with it. I was going after the vocals anyways, not your playing abilities. I don't think anyone should cover Tool using vocals. Because he's not a vocalist to be emulated.

  • I've had my balls busted plenty of times. Fyi, I had to be in Iraq for a year with combat pay to be able to afford my gear. I'm sorry if this got outta hand then.

  • Just a case of the youtube and the internet. :P Keep rocking man and keep doing what you love.

  • Wow, that is dedication.

I don't agree with most of your country's decisions, but you have my respect for pulling that off.

Don't do it again though :)

  • Well I didn't exactly go to get guitar gear lol, it just kinda worked out , but don't feel bad, I don't agree with most of our countries decisions either.

  • Excellent. I thought your vocalist did a good job - it's obvious that Maynard is the hardest to replicate. Can you guys come down to Australia soon as I can't bear to wait another 4 or 5 years for TOOL to come back here!

  • 3 seconds in and it's already fav'd.

  • lol thanks

  • When you have heard live Tool recordings, you realize just how much this sounds like the band themselves. Extremely impressive and well done. I am extremely jealous of your ability to play the guitar as well as you do.

  • Comment removed

  • why you harshin' my dream mellow man? WHY!?! :(

  • Ok I removed it. Sorry

  • If ya watched more tv you'd know I was kiddin pimp :)

  • I know but it was still rude, nonetheless.

  • Nice job. I'm glad you've put up another video. The bassist's tone sounds so much like Justin's. It's just great.
