  • Hay videos been cut short ,15 seconds long.. I want one would like a bite longer review please....

  • They tried to make it look like the F-18 with a variable wing of an F-14. How do I know?? Look at the tails and see if you can tell a difference from the real thing.

  • beautiful and deadly

  • That was some crazy s**t I think I just pooed in my pants

  • wow u have to put in the sticker yourself ? that suck man unlike the vf 1s the plane dont need any sticker it auto painted

  • wished there is transformable 1/72 scales, since 1/60 is too big for me i guess

  • @YaminoSeigi There are 1/72 scale versions, just not transformable. That said HLJ have a sale on right now and this is one of the items

  • @Wizartar

yup, i know that there are 1/72 scale from Hasegawa since i had made some before, the reason i want to get it transformable is this Valkyrie is one of my favorite and i want it to be equal scale with my Macross frontier valks. i won't be getting one from hlj for now since i am getting 1/60 VF-1J hikaru custom. your video reviews are great btw

  • @Wizartar where can i buy this please tell me

  • @acp1778 HLJ, Amiami, Hobbysearch (1999). Shop around at the moment and you can get better value.

  • @Wizartar 1999 is way cheaper than hlj hehe :D

  • What kind of base stand works for this scale?

  • @GojoOniiChan For this guy I use the "FlexiDisplay 4-Inch Version 2 Display Stand" and it works perfectly. There's also Yamato's display stand for Macross but it's quite costly, it's about to be reissued.

  • @Wizartar Does that support gerwalk mode?

  • @GojoOniiChan It depends on why type of pose you're trying, have you google the FlexiDisplay, if you look it's just three legs that are movable and then you balance the model on it. I've seen it work well with GERWALK

  • @Wizartar Does the FlexiDispaly support gerwalk mode? And how much angle can you do with that stand compared to Yamato's stand?

  • Comment removed

  • "it took 15 min to find.." ahsuiahusisa

  • is this on singapore??

  • how much is this?

  • @whiteangel0004 check somewhere like amiami or hlj to see what it goes for at the moment.

  • If anyone is thinking about getting this guy nows the time, the pre-orders are up everywhere for the second release which has many fixes over the original and includes all the fixes that came with the ghost bundle.

  • Damn she is Beautiful! I love that Veritech.

  • its a variable fighter not veritech

  • Sorry sorry I get em confused..... I've only gotten to watch some of Macross Frontier haven't gotten to Macross Zero yet.

But still! That Variable fighter is beautiful!

  • well if the future ever comes as in years far far far from now we might get to see a real mech in action and if so hell put me in a cock pit and ill control that thing like a damn video game lol

  • Hay! get to the back of the queue! I've been waiting years for that.

  • lol yeah i hope they come befor we are all old lol

  • oh boy nice i loved it the VF-0 i want one, cool yamato relase again the VF-0 series Yhea i have the VF-1s max type my beautiful girlfriend wife give one on xmas, but always love this but not on sale on that time.

by the way i love my ISABEL.

  • i just got my vf-0s in the mail it seems a little loose but all in all very nice glad i picked it up.

  • I am wanting to get the VF-0S but IYO how does it compare to the quality of a VF-1 ver 2 1/60? Thanks

  • It feels like a transformable model kit not an actually figure/toy. While really nice, at times it feels like you could break it. It's not in the same class as the 1/60 v2, not even close.

As long as you take care it should be fine. But if you watch my transformation videos, the gems likes to pop out and it's got a loss shoulder, but all in all, that's good for this guy as it's got a bad QC reputation. All I'll say is buyer beware

  • it would be nice if they actually had a VF-171 toy

  • that makes it G.E.R W.A.L.K? or is it meant to be that way? plus i love this model, might get it my self some day

  • Yes, they called it GERWALK as it's an abbreviation.

    Ground

    Effective

    Reinforcement of

    Winged

    Armament with

    Locomotive

    Knee-joint

  • my bad battroid. But yeah it's not robot

  • yeah gay ass f-18 hornet. I don't give a s#%& about the F-14's decommission, I'm gonna fly that plane when I become a naval/marine aviator myself. Why can't they upgrade it or turn it into a Valkryie lol. The truth is Macross creators made the Valkryie because of the idea of the F-14 Tomcat. Umm....Wizardtar it's called Battleroid mode sorry. Not robot mode.

  • Battleroid??? Really that box says Battroid at 0:43

  • Fail. Not robotech at all dude. It's all about Macross. robotech = a failed ripoff of 3 anime TV series. Plain and simple.

  • oh Thank's i knew there was somthing Fishy about Robotech

  • thanks for your help man its great to have some help when your new collecting these toys. great reviews thanks a bunch

  • thanks for the help.

  • is this worth grabbing man

  • After getting the 1/48 & 1/60 VF-1 its more obvious the problems this guy has. It feels very weak compared to the other two scales. I still think its worth getting, but I'm more careful with this guy then any of the others as it feels like I could break him at times

  • BTW, the VF-0 Phoenix and the VF-1 Valkyrie look a lot like the F-14 Tomcat.

  • For those of you who don't know, the F-14 Tomcat (the plane that was shown @ 1:21) was retired from the US NAVY on the 22nd September 2006, and was then replaced by the F-18 Hornet.

Damn it! I really liked that plane for that it was very advantageous, even compared to the other fighters manufactured today. And it was retired on the month of my birthday, and in the year I became 18! What a dirty gift!

  • Last I heard, the U.S. government was in the process of shredding all remaining F-14 Tomcats in hopes that Iran (the only remaining country to have it in service) does not get any spare parts.

  • Lucky bastard!! I don't have enough dimes to buy it, even if I save some, it will never be enough.

  • can the knee part extend a little like the 1s in gerwalk ?

  • No, you can't pull this guy's leg! o_O

  • man that suck if it does then it look a lot better then having an unstable plane in gerwalk

  • I wish I could play with toys all day, sigh

  • me too

  • Very nice!!!

  • "GERWALK" stands for what? I'm sorry, I didn't hear it properly.

  • Ground Effective Reinforcement of Winged Armament with Locomotive Knee-Joint

  • The VF-0 looks like the VF-1 combined with some outlines of the YF-19. It's weired since the designing YF-19 was not even yet started at that time, according to the Macross chronology that is.

  • True, but from the Macross designer Shōji Kawamori chronology makes sense. The nose does look a bit like the YF-19. But I didnt have one to compare it to back then. Thats my very first Macross model.

  • What does "OVA" stands for?

  • Original video animation, animated films and series which are made specially to be released on home video formats. The majority are released direct-to-video, without prior showings on TV or in theatres

  • where can i buy these on the internet? cuz i cant buy it in any store in sweden.

  • HobbyLink Japan HLJ is used by a number of people

  • que bonito me gustaria tener uno

  • nice how much is it

  • It's over priced, but how overpriced depends on were you buy it from.

  • just got my vf-0a and looks like yamato made a mistake because my pilot is roy foker... wich is really cool!!!

im doing some stopmotion with transformers.. check them out they are cool i promise, guess who will kick optimus ass?

  • Roy rules!

I've watch your stopmotion before it's really cool!

  • I just wanted to let you know that I finally pulled the trigger on the phoenix! I opted for the ghost boost combo as I heard that the exploding shoulders were fixed. I had some pretty odd QC problems but the figure is solid! Thanks for your reviews in helping me make the decision!

  • Cool, glad to hear you got a good one! Well as good as these guys seem to come.

  • where did you get it

  • Like I said above, I got this one from Hobby Link Japan

  • Hiya, Your reviews are beautiful. So did you get into Valkerie because of Transformers Jetfire by any chance?

  • It was, as I enjoyed both Transformers and Robotech back in the '80s. The Jetfire toy is my favourite TF cause I used to play with it for either Robotech or TF. I'm also looking foreword to picking up the Bandai 1/55 25th Anniversary Transforming VF-1S Figure, to bad they can't do another proper Jetfire.

  • Nice review !

  • I'm not very like VF-0, it actually is the copycat for VF-1!

  • wow it looks great always wanted to get 1,but i dnt even knw where and i wish they have the model of VF-25 from macross frontier i think it looks great too

  • It is a sweet fighter, give them time and I'm sure they'll release something.

  • VF-25 with armored pack... Yes that would be nice.

  • Thanks for the review Wizartar, I wanted to get a nice close view at all the modes before I ordered this thing...

  • ohh, i suggest you apply a clear nail polish on the ball joints of the shoulders to make it tighter... so you can do some mean poses on that yummy! hehehe! congratulations on your toy.

  • hi, is this the reissue of the vf-0s w/out ghost combo?...i have been really wanting this toy for about a year, but the quality issues are holding me back.. pls. kindly check the shoulders joints of the toy, cause ive' read that the first versions were having some stress marks or cracks, or far more worst craking into little pieces,. i hope not...

  • So far the shoulder joints are looking ok, but the right shoulder is a little loose, so I removed both of the shoulder armor and rescreewed. But the ball joint is still loose. In the other reviews you see the landing gear flap get such into the leg and one of the plastic "lights" feel off coz of cheap gluuuue.

  • Is it a reissue??? I don't know now to tell. Is there a different number?

  • well, i also dont know if its a reissue,.. and yeah! thats yamato if it isnt broken it has loose joints, there are many q.c issues involving this toy, some recieved the toy with a bent tail fins, same right hands, opposite magnet polarities on the leg covers and the shouldder problems,.good to hear that you have none of those. if its a reissue then thats good news, but if its the first realease, then you are the lucky ones to have none of the bigger problems.tnx!hope to see another toy review.

  • Im from portugal plz someone tell me how can i get this ?? I realy REaly want one of those *.*

  • I got this one from Hobby Link Japan

  • do you have to detach the legs to transform it?

  • No, the legs stay attached, but the leg armor can be removed easily. I'll do a transformation video very soon.

  • thanks :)

  • These turn up pretty frequently on eBay, along with most of the other Macross figures by Yamato. The prices are usually reasonable, but be prepared to pony up on the shipping and handling costs.

  • thanks :)

  • awesomeeeeeeeeee I just ordered VF-0A because it has 40% discount!!

I sitll like 0S better tho!

  • finally someone made a review!! great one by the way, this figure is huge! could you make a review transforming it? will be awesome, how much did u pay for this one? chek out my videos. AWESOME REVIEW, MAKE MORE PLEAAAAAASEEEE

  • Awesome review!!! Please do more reviews!
