  • Blondie you are the most sexiest girl ever I remember when you where 25 years old and when youn where 28 with all your great songs you are so wonderful and stoill sexy. Debby u are still sexy with 65 I love you forever you are the best

  • simply one of my absolute favourite bands!!! (:

  • Why isn't it sharing!!!!???

  • Great band and music ! But what I really love here is the album cover picture showing the beautiful Debbie with her nice long hair, lovely white dress and white shoes; she's has a nice figure !!! If she hadn't got into music she could have been a good model. Regards.

  • I've pretty much always had a crush on Debbie Harry. I was probably like, 4, when I first heard this song, and she was SEXY! Now I'm 34, and nothing's changed.

  • avec Sunday Girl? mais oui!

  • Does she sing the same thing in French as she does in English ?....cool song

  • @MikeR9303 Yes, very close translation but better in French.

  • LOVE BLONDIE!! this version to me was always BETTER than the all english version she's sounds soooo sexy when the french part comes in. Debbie Harry was the the ultimate sex symbol back in the day.

  • i love the french part!!!!

  • @LabellessCow96 & melanichka. LOL at both of you. Piaf sang like a chicken being throttled and the rest is down to personal preference. Paradis sang powder puff manufactured nonsense pop. As for the others well no comment as I've never heard their music and before you say my tastes are restricted I have an extensive record collection from all continents and many languages. And before you say I should broaden my horizons to include French music...have you ever heard French rap???!!! Exactly.

  • Debbie Harry had alot of tallant, I agree with razzberryjr3 I like how she says "Baaaby" I love the French singing in this album - I wish she sang the last part in French in all the "Sunday Girl" songs. The song"Atomic" is also one of my favorites, I wish she sang that in French too.

  • I find this song is way better than "Heart of Glass" or "Call Me" yet those songs get much more airtime.

  • i remember learning this french part. i honest dont know what anything means in that part or anything i just listen to the sound and go along with it! LOL

  • ahaha, i'm french and when i see the lyrics and how you cut the words , i can't stop to laught

  • @HeroinKids29 you pompous french asshole. if she hadn't decided to sing in your language we wouldn't even be talking about. how many great french songs or singers are there???? Exactly.

  • @NazRabi There are actually quite a lot of french songs/artists out there.. I love this song, the comment was made about the uploader's mistakes in the lyric writing. I'm currently in my first year studying French as a GCSE at school and I had trouble understanding what was going on at times. Perhaps you should read the comment properly before accusing people of being 'pompous assholes' you pompous asshole :) <3

  • @LabellessCow96 Name these great French songs then you pompous twat??? It is the typical French attitude to laugh at others who try and speak, translate, use your language. That was my point. You should understand and accept constructive criticism rather than react in this arrogant way.

  • @NazRabi Lol, note I said I was studying French? I'm actually English and I appreciate other languages. I didn't laugh at them for your information, I stated that it was difficult for me to understand because some words I believe were misspelt. You're the one inflicting prejudiced beliefs and making uneccesary, sarcastic comments. Why don't you back off and read your comments before calling me arrogant? Oh, and I do have a particular favourite song in J'ai demande a la lune by Indochine :)

  • @NazRabi You maybe didn't understand the remark of NazRabi ,if I spok et hat way it's abi t fun ny and hard to read. There's no offence to say it,since it's true. Moreover, there are quite a lot of famous french singers! Have you ever heard of: Edith Piaf, Daft Punk, Justice, J.Haliday, Gainsbourg, Vanessa Paradis, Bob Sinclar, David Guetta. Here are few of our singers known all around the world, not speaking about actors...so yes French is important, though the remark was friendly!

  • ok song blondie lol

  • FINALLY! Thank you for uploading this! Everything else is all English or all French. This was the version I first heard, so to me, it's the only one that sounds right.

  • I still have this album in my collection......

  • @pacificprospector Me too, got it for Xmas '81 and I was 14......

  • @ruthie10101010 I think I got it around the same time period, I was~16 years or so. I have to admit it was probably bit of an attraction I had to Debbie at the time. It is funny I had a number of female singer albums from then: Terri Nunn (Berlin), Chrissie Hynde (pretenders), Nena Hagen, Katrina and the Waves.

  • Daamn The french part is fucking amazing!<3

  • Videodrome totally turned me off Debbie Harry's acting, but I still love her music.

  • @90sShowJames i love that film

  • @BigBulgeCheeks It was a good movie, it just creeped me out...

  • I love this half English half French version, can get the best of both world...thanks for sharing

  • I love Debbie Harry. I was very fortunate to get to meet her face to face, and she autographed my 12" single of Sunday Girl. I would kill to get to meet her again !

  • I LOVE when it breaks into French from English. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • I just got a copy of the novel "Debbie Harry sings in French" by Meagan Brothers, and decided to revisit this classic. I haven't heard this song for a good many years! The song is truly classic and now I think I will listen to it again!!

  • This is the version that very luckily, I own on 45 LP.

    :-)

  • Boy, this sounds great with both English & French together.

  • isnt this the way the song was originally sung? both english and french? def the best.

  • I'm not sure.

Though I was always aware of Blondie, I never really paid 'em any attention until very recently.

I am a new fan who has only just started collecting their work. On their Greatest Hits CD that I just got, it's bilingual. But I still haven't picked up Parallel Lines, the album that originally (I assume) carried the song.

  • @Marty0Mcfly

Yes it was! And I remember the first time I saw her perform this live! I was 17 and It was at "Max's Kansas City" and I fell in love. Three months later I saw Wendy O Williams and Fell in Love again!

  • @Marty0Mcfly The song was originally recorded completely in both English and French. It was producer Mike Chapman who cross-mixed the language tracks.

  • The Rules Of Attraction Ruleeezzzzz !

  • the law of atraction?

  • No, the Rules Of Attraction, a movie made by Roger Avary, this is a song there's in the movie ;)

  • i luv the french part ha ha she sings it very well ha ha im 12 and i like her songs it kinda weird but not really ha ha

  • Thats because she is French :)

  • This song was "mine" on the karaoke and still is! Loving it :)

  • foda³

  • good song

  • Great song!! I hope she always stay`s the same. I really like her.

  • haha i love how she says "BAAABY!"

  • Why do Blondie have French lyrics in their songs? It's the same on "Denis".

  • This is the BEST version by far :)

  • i love to try and sing like her it would be FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB!!!!

  • The Girl in the song is 63 now , sung it when she was in her mod 30's

  • i loooove this song i mean im 15 but

the girl in the song sounds just like me

i love it its so cute ^^

  • @TrippyKitty08 then you should ge tinto the studio and record some songs with a voice as awesome as yours.

  • @TrippyKitty08 Doubtful.

  • @NRPBrute i ment the story of the song. i'm strictly okay when it comes to singing

    sorry for the misunderstanding

    mah bad

  • @TrippyKitty08 lol she was definitely NOT a little girl at the time of this song....she was a Playboy Centerfold.

  • @amuredem She was never a playboy centerfold, she was a Playboy "bunny." A bunny was a cocktail waitress at the playboy club in NY, that club doesn't exist anymore. People always spread this untrue bit around because they're confusing playmate or centerfold or bunny. She never posed nude for Playboy, ever!

  • great song
