  • he really was excellent in the air....just fearless....i'm still mad at the italian elbow in 2006

  • The national team sure misses him. No one present can fill his shoes. One of a kind.

  • Music is really bad. Try the " New Rose " by Damned instead. Go Fulham !

  • He had a powerful header

  • Everybody loves McBride.

  • Ole Brian, true legend McBride.Stands for everything football should be about, heart skill desireThat's why he was captain of Fulham :) Dempsey just beat his record of goals scored in the premiership by an American player last season, and goals scored by a Fulham player since it has been called BPLBut McBride will always be a legend in London and in the States, representing for Illinois GO ON Brian.Just pure class with his noggin and a top finisher, great to see the love from European footy fans

  • I'm a Man City fan, this guy was a top forward and on his day could smash a few goals against anyone, very underated player.

  • @Futurearmyofficer wouldn't mind if he was our USA coach someday

  • MILWAUKEE RAMPAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I neither watch US or English football all that closely but when ever Fullham was playing I always made a note to put it on because watching McBride is always a pleasure.

To all you complaining that hes goals aren't "flashy enough" know very little about football. He never complained, always played his heart out, was a great leader, and is complete class, which imo, makes a great footballer. Many traits that today's "stars" lack.

  • @MCL8991 agreed!!!.... he was a T90 player!

  • @rascalMatt17 a goal is a goal, it doesnt matter

  • I love football but those were some pretty second rate goals.

  • How does Michael Jackson have a statue outside Carven Cottage but Brian McBride does not? What a legend!

  • I'm American. My older brother and I always played the game, and when my brother was in school he used to play against McBride probably twice a year. He was always the best player on the pitch, like a man against boys. He was destined to be amazing. That he became a legend at Fulham was something I did not anticipate. I wish I could thumbs up this video another 100 times. Hats off to one of the greatest Yanks ever.

  • McBride's goal at 0:50 is sick.

  • Best American(non goalie) to play in the EPL?

  • The guy heads it at 2:06 and he knows its going in, doesnt even look at it.. BRILLANCE

  • It looks like Brian McBride has no eyes.

That aside. It's a shame that he has to retire at the end of this year. He was an absolute fantastic player. Represented the USA and showed the world that Americans CAN play the beautiful game.

  • Even though the US will probably never win a WC in the next 100 years, I can always respect the way their players handle themselves on the field around the world and in WCs. They have a very blue collar attitude where if they're down they fight back harder, win or lose. Not like the italians...who when they're down they resort to diving, dirty fouling, gay theatrics, and incessant complaining. Go Brasil!!

  • legend...

  • Lets hope clint dempsey can play as well as he did.

  • mcbride is a good example of blue collar american

  • As a young fulham fan at 16 ive seen him come and the moment he scored his first somehow you just knew in years to come he will be a fulham legend !! BRIAN MCBRIDE, BRIAN MCBRIDE, BRIAN MCBRIDE !!!

  • God damn this song blows

  • Captain America was some player and came across as a cool guy to boot. Class act all the way.

  • brian is my favorite us player..why did he retire from international competition?

  • Wow- as an American who played from the mid 60's through the mid 70's, I never thought I'd live to see (1) an American play-and excel- in Europe, and (2) an outpouring of respect from people from all over Europe for somebody like Brian. I'm happy for him, proud of him, and glad that Fulham fans appreciated what he

and Friedel and Demsey tried to do for you. Thanks to all of you- this was REALLY uplifting.

  • i grew up watching Brian McBride play for the Columbus Crew, i was really lucky to get an opportunity while studying England in 2006 to get to see him play for Fulham against Arsenal, where he put in two header goals. Watching a player you loved as a youth succeed at one of the highest levels soccer can provide almost made me cry. in-fact it did.

  • Brian McBride is a real man. just look at the way he got right back up after getting elbowed in his face. other players would have stayed on the ground crying like little girls

speaking of homoeroticism, this song sucks

  • Have a look at Fulham FC Euro Tour to see FFC in Hamburg 2010.

  • The best player in the air ever!

  • zero gravity McBride...true legend! ....from italy !!!

  • Im a fulham fan and Mcbride is a legend !!

Bring on the Europa leage final !! :-)

  • the hero of usa

  • This guy loves to do diving headers.

  • complete legend

  • I can't wait to see BMCB THIS WEEKEND

  • a big black prostitute got a tattoo of ashley coles and john terrys faces tattooed on the inside of her thighs ,she says to her punter "if you can guess who they are you can have a free shag" he looks left and right and says "idont know who them ugly bastards are but the one in the middle with the fat lips and curly hair is didier drogba

  • hahaahahah oh god i need to find a way to convert that to american sports athletes so i can share it on this side of the pond.

  • what an absolute legend, i miss havin him in our team. FFC COYW!

  • cried when he retired :(

  • he didn't retire

  • retired from fulham, i meant....who does he play for now ??

  • @Aods11 chicago fire

  • Chicago Fire

  • good player

  • i was 1 of the 500 fans at newcastle away when he scored we went fucking mental.

  • im a liverpool fan

this guy was a hard worker who took most of his chances and scored some great goals

  • Makes you proud to be american, doesn't it? We need another McBride

  • i think charlies davis has the potential for that

  • besides his skill, the thing that i think made him so revered was his manor and sportsmanship. he was skilled, and didnt fuck around with silly dives, mindless arguments or anything... he was just playing football

  • I wish he was back at Fulham.

He really was a hero for us. Without him and Edwin VDS, we'd be back in the Championship right now.

  • @NinjaRiise

Lol. I bet ur an ManU fan who lives in Ipswitch,

  • Erm nope, i'm a Liverpool fan living in Walsall.

Why? Don't tell me, "You don't go to any games so your not a real fan" Am I right?

    If so then your pathetic.

  • @NinjaRiise

No actually Im a Liverpool fan in Derby i just think its a little stupid how you laugh at people who want a make a tribute to the hero of their team, when you dont support the team where you were born.

  • lol

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU SON OF A BITCH

  • fulham best team in the world and i wish he was still with us but o well doesnt matter anymore we got BOBBY ZAMORA now hes a LEGEND

  • I'm a Man U fan for my sins...........and I know that this player is top quality. The American people should be proud they can say the have a player of McBrides class that represented them in the Premiership.

  • thats so awesome of you to say that.. I defintley respect that so much since i literally grew up wacthing this man play.

  • Not a problem mate.............I can only speak the truth! A quality player to watch as well...........none of this faking business about his play either! He is a gentlemen!

  • I'm honored and i'm glad i get to see him every home match :)

  • @keenan1987 Don't worry, we all still think McBride is the best US striker ever produced. Altidore's got a long way to go to truly compare.

  • He was a hero can't beat him in the air.

  • Class player.

  • I was hoping Liverpool would buy him on the cheap

  • thank you brian forever a fulham legend! come back and show aj how 2 score again! wanted jozy altidore 2 come to us he will be a big-time player

  • Great Video. I was happy to see Fulham open a sportsbar/ seating area at Craven Cottage called McBride's in honor of the American Striker.

  • I'm not a Fulham fan, but as an American I'm proud of McBride.

  • Same here as well. To be the captain of an EPL team, speaks volumes to the type of player he was at FFC. Thanks for representing us so well Brian!

  • Fulham Legend.... end off

  • say man Mcbride is a USA soccer legend next to donovan, bacanegra and kasey keller there the top american soccer players ever just leave it at that.

  • its football not soccer

  • who cares what its called

  • I think you have a problem where you are with your "standings", the americans have been trying to get it right in football terms now for 25 years , it isnt going to happen , u s a will always be nice" cannon fodder" for all the top nations, as for McBride why isnt he still playing over here???????? yes you know the answer , and as for the seattle souners Ljunberg is picking up his pension money over there on one leg

  • he's not playing here because he loves his country and would like to retire here in his country. he expressed his desire to ultimately retire in the MLS many times..he's playing for his hometown squad..Ljunberg is only one player..i dont much care for arsenal has beens..but he draws crowds because he is a legend..the mls is trying to elevate the game here..its business..i dont understand why you wouldnt want football to be taken seriously in america..you need to get over yourself dude.

  • hes not playing there***

  • who are these people.. these aren't even opinions, they're just criticism from people who can't even use the correct grammar..

also, who are you people(not everyone on this thread) to criticise a whole nation such as the United States about their sporting ability, true their football(soccer) may not be the same level as their South American counterparts or Continental European Counterparts however, for them to compete in the biggest finals is a credit to the players, I don't see you play for FFC

  • crap yank who always had a cut head

  • you must know nothing about football or this player. you god damned xenophobic shit for brains fool.

  • mate i know plenty and USA will never do anything in football, yes the odd 1/4 final in the world cup and winning the pan american shield or whatever they compete in but leave the game to the big boys and concrntrate on rounders or whatever you call it, mcbride a joke just like his mates , donovan, casey keller etc

  • the way you speculate about things is pathetic. you clearly have no insight. the sport is becoming ever more popular. it is no longer a running joke in this country. when more people continue to consider it a sport the sport will elevate. look into a seattle sounders fc game..its like euro football minus the racism and stupidity..football will rise in america and the world will have to take notice. point blank.

  • also landon donovan is one of the greatest players in the world and thats an accepted fact..no he's not in the top 10 or 20 but he's up there and any football fan will tell you the same..youre just hung up on the fact he's american..so if hes american he must suck at football..grow up..xenophobe!!

  • Oh im sorry but no way mate landon donavon is not one of the best in the world, he only looks good because he'sscoring all these goals against smaller clubs, that the problem with the american league, theres a couple of decent teams, then the rest to just to small, to challenge them, so u cant give him all the credit.

  • @royashman yea mcbride sux...thank god england has wayne rooney....he scored 5 goals in the world cup right......woof ...go rooney

  • @hisdoffice .. Yes Rooney had a mare , i like the way Mcbride has crawled back to the mickey mouse lge in US to finish his career........... Yes legend in err lower manhattan ha bye bye brian hope your cuts have healed up

  • McBride elevated the level of play while at fulham. He was not overrated. He scored many goals. He helped Fulham in the standings. Get over it.

Also the football world in america does not revolve around the players you mentioned..theres also freddie adu, carlos bocanegra and jozy altidore..and cant forget one of the best keepers playing the game today Tim Howard..we might not be there yet..but we will be..someday..we just wont throw bananas on the field and other stupid shit like that.

  • great player,

  • Great player for Everton, unlike Radzinski.

  • brilliant player

    fulham ledgend

    such a ledge

  • BRIAN MCBRIDE THE BEST

  • he always gives 100%

  • I've got a question: Who was wearing number 20 during McBride's first seasons at Craven Cottage that he had to wear 8?

And generally, why does he like this number so much? I haven't found any explanation on wikipedia.:)

    Thanks, COYW!

  • always really liked him as a player, apparently hes doing quite well back in the mls

  • he doesnt have quality players to feed him the ball like when he was in fulham where they knew to give him it and he'll take care of it... here the players timings are pretty lackluster and they just dont have the smartness to feed him properly.. its sad because he could be deadley if he has the supporting cast

  • well hes got 11 goals in 25 games so surely his teammates must b doing something right

  • what a great American Player. He deserves an applause and a support from his team fans.

He made a big diffrence with fullham. Not only scoring goals, but also letting fullham in a higher position in the table and continue in the other matches.

his goals are cool too. I never seen an american score goals that much. Thats why The Americans outside their league they play better with english teams

  • BRIAN MCBRIDE ROCK

  • wow leeds fans just cant go anywhere without them thinking there still a "big club". hodgson is an amazing manager such a great improvement. good luck fulham.

  • Dude is a fcking artist with his skullcap..good god son

  • Ha ha ha. Going down, going down!!! Sha la la la, la la la la, PalaceLook who is laughing now!!!! Scum!!!!!

  • badass

  • If you want a player to point to that is just pure class, Brian McBride is it. Player that inspired me to play as a kid, well done to Fulham supporters for respecting him for his time there.

  • the best!

  • Well, kingofthewhatevers, your English isn't prem, either, is it? If you went to a doctor/solictor, and he spoke the way you write, would you go back to the fuck? Answer no! You'd think, "What an arsehole!" Understand?

  • What a legend, love you Brain.

    COYW

  • haha bolloks ur a little club u shud be were we are! u used to shit like this? were used to delph hu wud embarass half your 1st teamstraight up! hows it feel to have a worse average attendance than leeds hu are in league 1? IF U HATE LEEDS UNITED HAVE A GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • leeds are shit no one would piss on that club if it was on fire if u ever get back up u can talk.delph sucks balls

  • It's just good to see an American fella play some ball with the best in the world. As we all know every country besides America is better at football. When we're growing up in the states as young kids we play football (AMerican) and baseball. Hence thats why the rest of the world is ahead of us in the sport. It just comes natural to those kids, they grow up with it. I just wish we were able to truly show the passion we have here in the states. Gotta love the guy!!!

  • Legend

  • Class in every way.

  • What a legend!! Wish super Mac was still banging in the goals for us now! COYW

  • no doubt - great player.

  • MCBRIIIIIIDEEE!!!!

    world class. american legend

  • FULHAM!! simply the best, enough said

  • Fuhlam fans I never understand but are you happy with the Al-Fayed regime ???

  • ♥fulhamfc♥

  • Brian McLegend.

  • mc.bride is amazing when a ball is at his feet and his head

  • how long it take u to gather 10 of his goals must of took atleast 10-12 years goal every year?

  • Typical Mackem comment, go and ring your own neck you dolt. Nobody needs or wants you alive.

  • Corrected for safcroykeaneftm. How long did it take you to edit the clips for his ten goals? It must have taken you at least 10-12 years; a goal every year.

Well, the truth is quite simple, it took HitmanKno much less time than you took to learn English grammer - which will probably be never! So don't expect to score any goals yourself. Anyway, I don't suppose you can read the instructions on how to lace-up your football boots!

  • mcbride was a one off the best headerers of the ball ive seen in the prem

  • finally a decent highlight vid... mcbride is our best soccer export ever.

but seriously, why is every soccer highlight vid cut to the worst american modern rock? why?

  • id say him and reyna are neck-in-neck at this point, even though claudio declined very rapidly in his older years while mcbride only seemed to get better.

bradley and altidore both have the ability to surpass them in the future though.

  • freddy adu has been showing flashes of brilliance but keeps changing clubs and not getting playing time. i agree about jozy, is he gonna ever get to play for villareal with pires and senna or is he gonna go on loan? and what do you think about feilhaber?

  • Feilhaber is shite. Altidore is the US's only real prospect of being anything near world class.

  • pretty phenominal

  • One of my favorite players, hard working, modest and a joy to watch

  • chicago cant spell probaly haha

  • great striker fulham very luky 2 have him everton mised out on a service of him quality

  • no stupid

  • great video even if you didnt do it come on fulham mc bride has gone back to america to chigago great header and the one against pompey turns and scores

  • Is that Konchesky waving like an idiot for a foul at 2:22 back when he was West Scum?

  • west scum still beet u lot every match

  • The boy could head a boulder into the top corner from 15 yards out and still play a full ninety. The best USA player ever in my opinion. outclasses Donovan Preki Wynalda all of em.

  • you is crap typyer

  • so are you

  • ok moron that was the joke. i was mimicking you

  • timlamiam, you should have commented on how great McBride is, not discriminated against Donovan, who is actually better than McBride

  • much better than the overrated Landon Donovan lol.

  • Legend.

  • what a class act...thanks for everything McGod!

  • 1:05 against everton is an incredible goal

  • definately...2:33 is quality aswell

  • i want that picture of him at the very end as a poster.

  • Forza Fulham! Ciao Brian, non ti dimenticherò mai.

  • I wish him luck in USA McGOD bye bye go FULHAM!!! Watch my fulham vids

  • Fulham For Life

  • thanks bri top man top player we will miss u

  • Singing a takeoff of an irish diddy after his goal against Everton on America's St. Paddy's day was a highlight of my life. Holding two everton fans off with a fork at the end of the game was a close second.

    MCBRIDE!!!!!

    COYW

  • Pure Class thanks McGod

  • Class. Regards, Spurs.

  • we could really use him on team USA

    Go Fulham!!!
