  • I did it in an 07 automatic, then kept going, hit 134 with plenty of power left, until I realized I was going to go to jail if I didn't slow my ass down

  • I will add though that the cross-plane V8 like the S65 is a pretty good compromise as it comes into secondary balance several times per engine cycle and can be very smooth-running. The flat-plane type V8 in ferrari's and such are like 2 four-cylinders with a common crank and do not enjoy the same level of smoothness, in exchange for a more rev-happy nature due to less crankshaft counterbalance mass.

  • LOL @ V8's being inherently balanced. The only configurations that are naturally balanced are inline/flat 6's and V12/flat-12......period. Every other configuration/design is a significant compromise in NVH and smoothness and measures need to be taken to mask this.

And the VQ35HR/VQ37VHR's are different animals when it comes to being responsive to modifications both naturally aspirated and boosted compared to the previous 2003-2006 VQ35. Please do your research before making blanket statements.

  • thats not an infiniti that looks cheap

  • i can get my camaro there in 10 or less

  • @kelson12345 Shut up. We're here for Infiniti, not trashy Chevrolet.

  • Great Vid! I especially love the part that you turned the turn signal on, as if you're worried about the illegality of not using your turn signal while doing 100. Haha, priceless. G35s are great cars.

  • 335i and Lexus IS350 have considerably more torque and are both faster, as well as the Audi A6 supercharged which has a 333 hp 3.0 liter supercharged V6. Those are only a few of the German 6-cylinders. Just saying, though I do like the G35 more than any of those. :) I also might add that BMW doesnt make the 330i now, its 328i and 335i. 335i now has about 345 horsepower for 2011, up from 300 circa 07-10.

  • The only thing you forgot was that Audi A6 and 2011 g37 now have the same HP rating...The infiniti performance line IPL version of the g37 (way more expensive and kind of a joke they could do a much better job) has a little more power than the BMW like 348hp

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS the current 335i still has 300hp, they just put in a new single turbo motor instead of the old twin turbo mill

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS A. An IS350 does not make considerably more torque than a G35, its almost the exact same, as well as HP. B. The new 335i is not making 345hp, its still at, and probably will always remain at 300hp C. For being N/A and compared to turbo'd and supercharged cars 10-15K more, yet still contending against them speaks for itself. I own an '08 G35S, my car is quick in my opinion, any car that can manage 0-60 in the low 5 sec range and do 160 mph, good enough for me!

  • @trav187 The 335i dynoes 278 whp and 290 lb-ft. The VQ35hr dynoes 261/242. The IS350 does have a wider torque band and more peak torque but this is accentuated by it's tightly geared 6-speed auto.... Gears 1-4 are all lower than the 8-speed IS-F!

  • I wanted this car so bad! But i didnt want to pay that much for maintenance

  • quick left?

  • I timed it several times with my trusty stopwatch and timed 0-60 in 5 flat and 0-100 in 12.56 which is outstanding for an auto!

  • @VitaminE6SS I used the stopwatch on my iphone and got the same result... exactly when the the speedometer moved

  • @VitaminE6SS

5 flat in basically a heavy ass 350z with an automatic? LOLWUT. In your dreams

  • @Enemyofreali7y I was in your moms dreams after anal slamming her last night fool

  • @VitaminE6SS

Yeah, and I fucked your sister after she saw how much sexier my speed3 was than your SS. No stains to prove it - it doesn't soak into leather ;)

  • @Enemyofreali7y Seeing how i dont have a sister you must be talking about my brother... That's gross fag, fucking my brother.. I take it you recieved since my brother is 6 foot 5 and 250. lol what a douche

  • @VitaminE6SS

Close, but no cigar. I actually flipped him over and took him to brown town, and after a little while, he emotionally broke down and told me that he had a huge crush on you when you guys were younger, and that you had too small of a wang to please him. Sorry.

  • @Enemyofreali7y What a touching story! I hope you two are very happy in brown town, say hello to your father for me

  • @VitaminE6SS

    You win. God damnit. haha.

  • @Enemyofreali7y I have an 08 G35S, auto with the wheel paddles.. I know it doesn't make sense, but the 07 and up G35/37 sedans are notoriously quicker than the coupes. Every test i've seen for the 07 & 08 G35S sedans 0-60 times are 5.5 and below. I've seen numerous 5.1 & 5.2's to 60. My friend has the exact same car, and has run consistent 13.5's in the 1/4. I've owned BMW's, Acuras, Audi's, VW's, Lexus, etc., and my Infiniti is quicker than all of them.

  • @Enemyofreali7y He is correct the G35/G37 Sedans are quicker than the coupes. The sedans actually weigh less

  • so it looks like you were turning the whole time and didnt stop until the vid stopped at around 120...must of been a hell of a turn accordingy to your blinker. lol

  • @iphone3gJMW he is not turning just coming up to someone who was slower and did not want to flash him. is more respectful this way + if u r in germany and flash someone u can get a ticket - is ilegall

  • @iphone3gJMW The blinker doesn't come on until like 70 MPH.

  • the actual 0-60 time for the g37's is 5.1 seconds*

  • I counted about a little over 5 seconds. Speedometer starts to move at about 3 seconds and strikes 60 at slightly over 8 seconds. I drove a G37 last weekend and it felt very good all around. I took it in some Cali canyons and definitely was a heavy car, but the engine pulled so nicely out of the turns it made up for it. Great luxury sport sedan.

  • 5.6

  • i counted 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds

  • I wouldn't be surprised if 4.9 is possible but I don't think 4.5 is... That'd be pretty cool tho

  • Strange

My G change the second Gear on 120Kph which is equal 70Mph, urs change at 60 !!

and the third on 190 kph and urs at 160kph !!

So what is the difference between Gulf Spec G35 and Ur G35 ??

  • His might have a shorter final drive, so acceleration in each gear would be faster, but it would shift sooner.

  • 120 is not equal to 70 it's equal to 75

there is no difference besides the driver themselves

  • if that was a 6mt g being driven u would see a pretty good difference in how fast that speedo needle rises

  • ok i did a LOOSE not 100% accurate comparison between the g37x sedan and the 335i xdrive here are the links (note: this comparison is not perfect!!!)

    Infiniti=$44,005

    BMW=$58,933

  • Lol, If your compairing the prices...

    Supra = 10k

Spend 30k on the turbo... Not even a race.

  • which one's better g35 or is350?

  • depends on what you like, they have the same engine and transmission and pretty much the same handling, if you get the G35 6MT, The G35 is more practical since it has 2+2 seating and has a nicer interior. Get an 03 - 04 manual with the Brembo brakes

  • All I have to say is the G is a hell of a better bargain than the 335i. You get a legitimate amount of performance, only a tad less than the Bimmer, for a price that is 7-10 grand less depending on options.

  • i got my first ticket going 100 in this car =p not good lol

  • Well maybe I should try an Infinity ?!?! :)

sorry this car is very very rare in germany maybe they are better than Toyota / Lexus and Subaru Boxer 6 Cyl.

  • didnt they just recently come out in germany?

  • Well the excellent quality inline 6 3 Litre from Opel is a natural aspirated super high quality engine, DOHC, 24V, Dual Ram

its lifespan is 350.000 KM without any breakdown, I had several Subaru and Toyota none of these cars ever reached 200.000 Km with the first engine

  • about 13 seconds to 100, not bad!

  • i bet the 2009 g37 sedan will have way more balls to 100 due to the new 7 speed tranny...the long gear ratios in the 5 speed hurt the acceleration in this car

  • not really a manual mounted to the 3.7 will be better i think the seven speed gear box is over kill

  • o well of course the 6speed is the best choice but im saying that out of the autos, the 7 speed will help give it better acceleration than the 5 speed

  • from what people are saying the g37 sedan really isnt going to be any faster than the 08 g35

  • im sure 0-60 is going to be about the same, but im wondering if itll be any faster at all from 60 up

  • Wanna see an even faster car costing allmost nothing?

    Thats Mahmuts BMW 525i 24V

Please enter the following words in the searh field of you tube:

    BMW 525 -94 0-180 km/h

    Thats a stock BMW 525i grabbing 100 KM/H (60 MPH) in around 6 Seconds

  • grabbing 100 km/h in around 6 seconds? are you aware that the average 2008 G35x runs 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds, with the sport doing it in around 5.2? just so you know, this speedometer was in MPH

  • i clock just over 5 seconds for this g35... quite a bit faster than that BMW

  • Im sorry but you are very wrong. Im a fan and always had German cars (this is my 1st japanese) but you cant compare the G35 engine with any 6 cylinder German. In addition the G35 with 5speed auto is a second faster than the 330I 6 speed manual and that is A LOT. You can maybe compare the G35 engine with the former 6 cylinder M3 however is a high performance sport car compared to a regular 4 door sedan...

  • @acbpusa agree with you) very good acceleration for 6 cyl.

oh, moreover M3 has V8 ) P.S. japanise V6 are very good.. they use V8 only in SUVs..

  • @panzzzer777 m3 has v8 because it is a racing pedigree setup with rear drive and big v8 up front. v8 is chosen for being inherently balanced compared to imbalanced v6 which is maxed out for power in the 37

  • @kelson12345 Moron, a V6 and V8 are both balanced, one just more than the other...it's not a 4-cylinder versus a V8...

  • @kelson12345 By the way, the VQ37 actually has a lot of headroom left for hp, that's why the 370Z guys are getting 325whp out of it with bolt ons, from stock 290.

  • @ambientflier VQ's are shiitty engines for heavy modifications if you aren't going to change the internals. They're designed to work the best and be the most reliable at the stock output. Why would you want to ruin a perfect formula? Other than intake, i would not do anything else to the engine. The sound is already perfect.

  • yeah, i'm not trying to be an ass but how is 6 seconds even close to the performance as 5.1-5.2 seconds? that's a huge difference when it comes to drag racing. i know the g35 is heavier but it is still a lot faster. that's like comparing the 5.6 second impala ss to the 4.6 - 4.8 second gto.

  • yeah Haffschlappe, I agree with acbpusa. The 335i will be faster than this naturally aspirated g35, but no naturally aspirated non M bmw can keep up with the g35. You would need the e46 m3 to keep up with this if you wanted a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder from bmw.

  • I don't see any vids of a 535 getting to 60 in 6 flat.

  • north to 60? u mean naught?

  • i meant 100 not 60

  • Sweet Acceleration!

  • This wouldn't happen o be stock would it?

  • yes its stock listen to the way it sounds

  • a concept or w/e wouldnt really sound any different

  • what i dont understand what you said

  • if the car was a concept or if it had a supercharger or w.e to make it better it wouldnt sound much different

  • yea but if it had a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust it waould sound alot differnt

  • yeah maybe

  • maybe he was going downhill

  • no, i have this car and i can stand by this acceleration 100%, i actually thought it was a bit slower in this vid
