  • I just saw big sugar for free in Whistler it was amazing met gordie and mr chill after the show grady played later in the night but i missed it

  • I miss these guys!

  • Big Sugar was the real deal. Loud, musical, creative...bridging the blues, rock and reggae and were completely unapologetic about it...as it should be.

  • I cant help but think that Ade Edmundson as

    'Eddy' on the harmonica :D

  • These guys rock. Seen them back in 97 when I was like, 15. They played with Wide Mouth Mason and See Spot Run.

  • That was worth the money twice over,I'll bet

  • man..this band is OLD!~! but still rock!!

  • Sombra huh??? totally local :) They F'n RoKk

  • This rocks!

  • now this is a real rock band...absolutely wicked in concert too!

  • he also is like stevie ray vaghn, i don't know if i spelt that right, but when s.r.v died, he took over the spot in his band , renaming it Grady

  • really??

  • yah, for what i know of, they might not still be together, but i know that it happened, lol. look it up! and you tell me if its true XD

  • they aren't still together. Gordy is with his band Grady and Mr. Chill has his own band: Mr. Chill and the Witnesses

  • singer looks like Bella Legosi to me

  • Is there anyting bout these guyz dat don't make ya wanna smile?

Gordie is like JimiHendrixKeithRichardsMuddyWaters all rolled into One Giant Muthafuzza of RockGOD!

I couldn't care if these dudes were Afghani Penguins from Mars, very few bands can administer a dose like Big Sugar. Oh Canada! Oh Phuq Yeah, Eh!

  • BRING BACK BIG SUGAR !!!!!!!!

  • @johnroasting They're back! Playing and promoting new cd March 11 in Toronto! Yay!

  • @chronicletenko I HATE YOU. I just moved from there

  • @johnroasting your wish came true!

  • I miss these guys! check the Elvis sunglasses

  • Gary Lowe is officially my new favourite bassist. So fuzzed out, yet still so bassy, without getting farty.

PS: Gordie Johnson must be cool, he has a white coily cable.

  • If this song and this band rocked any harder, it would make you bleed out yer eyes.......

  • If you can't get into this song...well, Brittany is probably on your playlist...lol

  • Excellent video, song, & band!! :)

  • This is the best song ever!

  • i seen these guys twice.....

    they kick ass

  • WOOOH!!!

  • love this song!! it feels like a cat in a cage

  • punctuation. I know it is a big word. But you should discover it.

  • scorch. pow.

  • You need to learn punctuation. You can't form a one word sentence. Correct way to spell that "Punction, I know it's a big word, but you should discover it." Capitol letters at the beginning of a sentence is a good start. Commas are used where you have periods. This isn't evening with shatner where every word is its own sentence.

  • i love the beatles!!!!!!!

  • Woot!Old school. Love it!

  • me too

  • I saw these guys in a bar in Abbotsford a few years back.

  • you can find the one wit the jamacan hair in downtown hamilton

  • Did you know that is Alex Lifeson's double neck Gibson SG that Gordy is playing in this

    video? Cool, huh?

  • Sure did. I've also heard that Alex gave said SG double neck to Gordie, but Gordie refused, saying that he couldn't possibly accept it from him.

  • @corduroy41 II touched it. He had it in the basement.

  • @corduroy41

    He's got it. He's a rush freak.

  • the first time I heard it with the speakers blaring, thats the best way to listen to new music

  • @lb6673 it actually called eds- 1275 not an sg ,,, just saying 8 ]

  • big sugar broke up

  • That's Mr. Chill (Kelly Hoppe) on the harmonica. Grady is not Big Sugar covers. There are a few re-works of Gordie's Big Sugar songs but they are not covers. Grady is an absolute ass-kicking live. One reviewer called it "The soundtrack to you're next barfight".

  • Never knwe Harry Hill was so good on Harmonica! cool.

  • Gordie Johnson now fronts Grady...do they play anything besides Big Sugar covers?

  • Of course they do. Order Grady's new cd, A Cup Of Cold Poison, and find out for yourself.

  • @1mjg1 just saw big sugar playing canalfest in lockport ny they played a BLISTERING 2 hour plus show and stayed and hung out the fans afterward they are the definition of cool

  • C'est la toune a Simon !!

  • the bass player totally won me over haha. this band is absolutely bad ass

  • I'd bet you wouldn't say that to Garry Lowe's face.

  • @corduroy41 lmao

  • @blink234234234 you are a complete tool.. enjoy your minute of fame, no one will remember you

  • @blink234234234 Gary is a sweetheart.

  • Every young drummer should be FORCED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY LIKE THIS. Tired of Neil Peart wannabes.

  • love this song

  • SEE we know how to rock in canada straight up rock and roll

  • i absolutely agree with you....i saw them in concert..it is pure rock..love,love, love these guys...

  • HELL YEAH we know how

  • Thanks for posting,I love this song.

The guy in the hat looks like Vince Lombardi.

    (Cool retro look)

  • I luv luv this song

  • I can't believed Gord being so nationalistic moved to Texas and became Grady

  • he moved down there strictly buisness. he comes up to red deer regularly. im actually his cousin

  • Really, thats cool, so wow.

  • i live in the same community as gord's parents live. They're very nice people! my mom works with gords mom at the hospital, And his dad owns a pasta shop, Which also kicks ass! Woohoooooo...

  • i rmeember watching these guys at rock 'n the valley at craven and they didnt have all the fireowrks and shit like that but they still put on hell of a concert

  • "these guys look like tax accountantsssmann... "

Yes, they practice a lot and play well, plus they can balance their books, evade those silly taxes on artists, and turn a profit. Good accountants! Great band!

  • I grew up to this song!!!! Frickin like my favorite songg ♥

  • ""these guys look like tax accountantsssmann...""

Maybe, but they sure as hell don't sound like that!!

  • Stylin' Dudes!

  • these guys look like tax accountantsssmann...

  • : ) Seen these guys play at " The Sugar Shack " in Brampton back in the '90s, great show, one of the loudest bands that I'd ever seen. Well worth seeing.

  • Some musicians grow out of their fans. You can't ask any man to give up his own dream to match your own. Gordie's new band is just fine for those who want it a little... make that a LOT harder!

  • hey u fuckin fucktart, so what if they are from Canada, if you had any culture u tunnel visioned cunt u would respect that they are amazingly talented and crush alot of your fag yankee inbred bands any day...meh im from kansas!!yuk tuk fuk!

Alot of Canadian musicians produce and write lyric for your gun happy ignorant fools!

  • But ignorance can be found in any country.

  • The U.S has the monopoly.

  • lol.

  • Nice groove!

  • OH YEAH!!!!!!got my head in a haze.. feel like a cat in a cage...cryin for days......and im fallin apart....diggin a hole..about the way you treat me......tie me up and beat me!!! gordie rocks!!! sure hope he does something else....grady doesnt cut it....

  • ya big sugar rocks.their harpist is my harp teacher.

  • This is one hell of a good band. About 6 years ago these guys had the balls to put out an album in French even though it wasnt their native tongue and it was good.

  • It is when you consider that they hardly knew Fremch

  • i unno man, being form toronto i can honestly say i dont no anybody who can speak french. outside from quebec people dont no much about aobut the language, unless they kept with it through all tehir school years, which is rare.

  • There is a pretty stong franco community in the To area but if you head north from Toronto, the further you get from the GTA the more francophones there are. We're actually the majority along the highway 11 coridor north of North Bay.

  • Brings back memories

    got the cd somewhere here

  • By the way the Charger is an American car

  • He was talking about the band not the car, genius. What more would you expect from pompous BMW 740IL driver.

  • Thanks but i knew that and my sign on doesnt stand for a BMW

  • Our Beer Rocks Your Just Too Pussy to Drink It!!!

  • Your not even old enough to drink you tard

  • BTW In Canada The Drinking Age is 19 Not 21 So It's not That Big A Deal To Come Home Loaded At the Ages 17 Or 18

  • BTW already knew that it was 19 and not 21
