Utawarerumono started as an ero PC Game. They later made the PS2 version, replacing all the ero scenes and adding more stuff like voices, and a new op animation (the one in this video), and made an anime out of the game.

In fact, the OVA includes funny scenes from the game that they didn't put into the anime before.
