  • Goosebumps are still tingling

  • The thing I love about Bruce is that he doesn't class himself as bigger than the band and all the guys in the band get their moments every gig to showcase just how damn good they are. Bruce is THE BOSS, but the E Street Band are the Directors and VP's that made him and keep him there!

  • 2 idiots are rich enough and forgot his name

  • hope nils does a solo like this in jack of all trades and this depression

  • conversation at 4.40-4.44-

this is great Bruce-yeah Max it is! :)

AND Nils has now morphed himself into Keith Richards, see for yourself at 5.02-5.04!

    cool dude!

AND at 5.32 Clarence shouts fuck yeah!

    Damn this video ROCKED!

  • Is that Jerry Springer on the drums...

  • NILS u are one badass motherfucker!! From now and till forever u shall be the boss, this piece of art solo just blew me totally away!! I wanna make a request for a 4 min long solo like this! I LOVE U NILS!!!

  • The saddest thing for us aspiring guitarists? When Nils shreds it up at the end of the song, the crowd (and us, the TV/DVD audience) are amazed. For Nils, Bruce, and the rest of the E Street Band? It's just another day at the office. And, yet, Nils is always so humble and graciois. even posting guitar lessons - for a very reasonable price given his fame and talent - for the rest of us po' folks. Classy, blue-collar musicians to the bone! :)

  • I was at this gig - took my son who was 8 months old. Some gig to start him off in rock 'n' roll.....

  • For all the steelworkers fucked over by Thatcher

  • thumbs up if youi live here!!!!

  • Thats why Springsteen calls him the Godfather of the Guitar. Quite possibly the best guitar solo ever. WOW Nils Lofgren WOW. The rest of the song is great too.

  • Anyone notice how still the crowd was until Nils' solo? Pure reverence.

  • i love the way the ESB plays guitar, but Lofgren is the best guitar player of 'em and in the world (without Jimi Hendrix) i know (or i want to know)

  • Nils...... you ARE pure rock n roll

Love ya fella. See you this year at Hyde Park :)

  • Nils Lofgren is the best!!!!!!!

  • great and nicely done.

  • Little Steven dosen't look so litte with that guitar!!

  • Literally watched this pretty much everyday for the past 3 weeks. I was there that night, first time of seeing The Boss, it certainly won't be my last time of seeing him either. Glad I got to see the Big Man as well. RIP Clarence, thanks for the music.

  • Nils........................ you ARE the man

  • Bruce is boss,Nils his guitargod.

  • Why are you all talking about Bruce, he's not the reason you're watching this, Its becouse of NILS!

He's amazing. Both are, but Nils especially;)

  • @AlbinOstervall nope.. I'm here because of Bruce.

  • hoping to see this one in manchester 22/6/12 broooooceeee

  • I hope Nils got a shout-out from Bruce for this one!

  • I was there that night, Nils was fuckin awesome

  • hello Youngstowners, here in Europe Tata Steel or Mittal (India) have bought up all the steel works, and Mittal (Arcelor) just ended the 200 years or so Furnace industries (tradition) at Liege, Belgium. (Cockerell was the originator). Look forward!!

  • 5:11

    nils

you are the most passionate goddam guitarist ever

  • Escucha esto Bustamante !!

  • This shit is fucking relevant song as of Autumn 2011.

  • I am from Youngstown. My Grandfather owned a steel company there and I saw it go.....this makes me weep...the loss of America to outsourcing......and now Y-town is vulnerable to the fracking industry. The French opening up a mill there now..Enough already!!

  • @BALGALLERY My Dad=Standard Steel Company.

  • My folks met and married there, my brother was born there. My dad worked at Republic Steel till it closed down. I've lived there twice since I've been in my 20s, man - this song always gets me.

  • Nils or Dave Navarro... who's the better guitarist?

  • @KleWdSide - Nils, hands down. Check out a live version of the tune No Mercy and his "lesson" on how to play his tune Keith Don't Go (it's floating around the interwebs somewhere...)

  • youtube.com/watch?v=yy71IJm5dgw this is what im talking about

  • guys are you serious? has anyone of you heard the 2001 New york city , madison square garden concert ??? THAT was the best Youngstown performance in the history of the E street band, and probably the best concert Bruce Springsteen had. His voice here is nothing like in NYC 10 years ago... ofc he was younger :c

  • Wow!!

    Nils! Powerfull!

    OMG!

  • They played this in Helsinki too, and With even more intensive. The gig lasted over 3 hours. Temperature was over 28 C, but I guess the temperature in the stadion was even higher. It's one of the best guitar solos in rock, but it's not just Nils, it's the whole band. The way they play together; it's unbelevable. The best gig I have ever experienced. So, Thanks Bruce and The E street band. I'll never forget that night.

  • oh my god so good i had to listen to it twice

  • Love this music!

  • Oh my fucking god!

  • what but wipe give this a dislike.do me a favour, take a walk, open your front

door and take a deep breath and get a life.what a muppet.

  • That spin in the solo was probably the coolest thing i have ever seen

  • one person made me angry

  • What makes these guys great is that the next nights concert would be a different show. Some different songs and some different versions of others. I don't believe there was ever a band that would or could do that and they all appear to be having fun, after all these years and all those tours. We are all lucky to be living in these times and witness the real Jersey boys. His mom was right, he had a future in writing, she just had the wrong genre, moms are smart.

  • Bruce

  • i absolutely love this song.no one is better than the boss at telling a story

especially about his own country the usa.a true, true american and world wide

icon.one of the greats of all-time,no question about that.long live the boss.

  • 1 Person don't know what Rock is! Rock = Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band!

  • Every member of the E Street Band is an absolute legend.

The greatest collection of musicians ever to grace a stage.

All you X factor wannabees, watch and cry...this is what it's all about.

  • The fuckin' power, it's unbelievable...

  • you wonder if this should be our second national anthem

  • Nils you bad motherfucker, play that shit

  • just bloody brilliant =D

  • I JUST DIED! Nils has been my favourite guitarist since I was... six! And he still is. And Nils has also made me hate my own dad, becouse he won't give me his Nils and Grin albums, the earlie ones... AND I saw Lofgren Live... Nils is like Gimli in lotr, he's just absolutely Awesome! And No1 Can take that from him! Well, He might be a little bit smaller and thinner than gimli, but except for that! Thanks for posting this video! This made my day!!

  • @AlbinOstervall heh...nice post and you know a GREAT guitarist when you see one...I was like your dad...saw him in a bar in Wilke's Barre Pa with his bro...awesome night...partied with the band and the Hooter's were playing that night at Kings College...they came over to hang out with Nils...what an awesome night!

  • AWESOME SOLO Mr. Lofgren!!!!!!! 4:56 is just phenomenal!

  • good old clements rip

  • Great sound quality my friend. Wish everyone knew what you do

  • who has the balls to play youngstown to a 70000 plus festival crowd and ability to pull it off..... the boss that who!

  • . My Dad ,two brothers and I all have advanced degrees but all of us worked in the steel mills at one time or another. . Me and two my brothers worked in the Open Hearth;my brother-in-law in the pipe plant;it was who we were ethnic peope like italians, greeks, lebanese, crotiations, slovakes, irish, hunkies, spanish, and african americans. . No matter how much we achive in life if you get to close to any of us you will still smell the graphite on us. Drinking fighting and football was the norm.

  • How could u not love this!!!!!! Bruce is the best!!!!!!!

  • At 1:31 you just understand why the whole freacking world refers to him simply as The Boss. He is the toughest, coolest, ass kicking human being alive.

  • @ElephantRage Some say he's Chuck Norris, all we know is he's called the boss:)

  • 0 people "don't like this".

  • 4:11!

  • HOLY SHIT THAT SOLO WAS FRIGIN AWSUM!!!!!!!

  • this is awsum. Bruce is so sweaty

  • GOD MADE NOTHING, MAN MADE ROCK, ROCK MADE BRUCE, BRUCE MADE AND MAKE OUR HEARTS BEAT......

  • How could you not like this song. it gives me the chills it's just haunting you can just picture the jeanette (my sweet jenny) blast furnace sitting in ruins.

  • Bruce, Nils, Max, you blokes are just pure ROCK N ROLL !

    I love you all !

  • Love this song, I was there and was so happy when they played it.

  • Jesus. This man just doesn't age in appearance and the immaculate nature of the performances that he (and the E-Street band) gives.

    Just superb.

    Keep rocking boys !

  • That is some serious guitar. I nearly came in my pants then.

  • @withnail555

    Lol.

  • Best study-breaker ever, period

  • .... together with his guitargod, Nils.

  • Dark and powerfull!

  • One time I made you rich enough....Rich enough to forget my name...

  • Nils > Everyone else

  • the best nils i`ve ever seen!!!!!!

  • @shortie46 - the recording of Youngstown from the Live In New York City features an equally firey Nils solo. Check out the version of Atlantic City, too!

  • @RyanArnoldRocks : I can only agree with you! The best version of Youngstown, and of course the solo of Nils!

  • @LittlestevenMiami - my fave point during this tune is, during Nils' s solo (at 4:38), Max is doing a fill and Bruce yells "yeeah!" and Max shakes his head and mouths "yeah baby!"

  • @shortie46 you should check out Nils "Keith don't Go" instruction video...Nils says it's "intermediate"...yeah...right...I've played for 35 years and if that is intermediate....I should just use my guitars as firewood!

  • Nils is awesome!

  • This song is so much better live then studio version!!

  • Thanks,i love it

  • God made man, man made rock, rock made Bruce, and Bruce made tramps like us!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a real "rock'n roll".

  • Do anyone know the chords of this version??

  • The E-Street BAnd, legendary, just legendary. Bruce + ESB= Heaven

  • Awesome Song-Performance!!!!! Massive!!!
