I was in a band called the instigators and we played with the mob in wolverhampton in 1983(I know this because it as my 18th birthday)

We went to an house before the gig and the mob turned up after walking for most of the day. They looked filthy but didn't give a shit.

Anyway we supported them and Mark Mob sat watching us(which was an honour for me)

When they got on the stage they were superb and made us look like novices.

I'm normally not into slow songs, and a lot of anarcho punk seems a little cliche to me, angry songs about revolution and police brutality get a bit old.

But this song is perfect: moving, dark, thought provoking, I'm surprised there aren't many new bands playing music influenced by this. The Mob is way better than that crust shit that has taken over anarcho punk.

Great video too, couldn't ask for more. Thanks for making this video, and thanks to the Mob for writing such a powerful song.

I'm not sad, I'm quite happy actually. My point was the best tunes were written when we thought we faced total destruction (we didn't, the USSR didn't want nuclear war nor did USA, and UK) but the threat brought out good music, no bands today write songs as good as when we thought the axe was swinging above our heads, check Mob, Crass, Flux MDC, Subhumans etc to see good "we're gunna die!" music, the urgency gave succor to the songwriters.
