THIS is the Grange Hill I remember! I think I started watching it perhaps a series or so before this one, but Togger, Tanya, Baz & Maddy are the group of characters I remember. These characters and storylines where brilliant! It was awful when they revamped it again in the later 2000's. But having just read the wiki page I understand now why they did it, but it used to be such a great show! :)
Damn.... does anyone ever get the urge just to watch a load of full episodes of Grange Hill, even if it's the not-so-good series? I do. I wouldn't mind if they were not as good as the earlier series, just as long as it was grange hill. I wish they'd start rerunning the episodes. It's just a shame that, practically, you see an episode once, and ... that's it. Gone. (Not including the fact that just somewhere, maybe someone recorded it on VHS or DVD, and MIGHT have uploaded it somewhere).
@theultimatekoopa2 they might, maybe, possibly be shown on tv later this year. Electric Sofa are launching 3 new channels on sky and/or freeview and according to Grange Hill's wiki page, every episode of this show will be rerun there. I'm not sure if its true or not as I've not seen that it written anywhere else, but if it is, I hope someone tapes them and puts them online :P
