Although this rig puts out more horsepower than probably any other formula offroad, I have seen it in a few other videos and I have to say that the turbo is the wrong type of forced induction for this kind of racing. A supercharger would be a lot better choice.....something to the tune of a vortec V3-J. The lag really kills him and makes planning the route up a hill a lot more technical than it would be with a supercharger.
@deano9006 You know what? He won the NEZ cup this year! That's the FIA european championship in this sport, meaning he beat the swedes, the icelandics, the finnish and the dane (singular intended)
@Amund7 There is definitely no doubt it is a badass rig! That proves him to be a better technical driver than the others. It's like hillclimbing with a two stroke dirt bike vs. a four stroke..........it's much more difficult on a two stroke but some people prefer it to a four simply because it makes them a better rider. I definitely wasn't trying to say it was a bad choice, just if I was running the team I would have gone with a supercharger. Cheers to him winning!
