My question is, "tho theres no other way for him to show it" but does make me wonder of those who dont have drum background. Are you guys picking this up easily? Ya gettin it? And it makes me wonder. ha ah

  • hey man how do you get the tone?

  • @GoingCamando20 i think they use line 6 amps...and that effect is reverb.

  • too much bla bla but thanks for the video man

  • it's "Skat" not skank.. skank is the style of dance.. but great lesson man!

  • @SkankyRegg skank can be both the dancing or playing, doesn't matter.

  • @SkankyRegg skanking is a dance, but also a style of strumming. skatting is a vocal technique. blues traveler is good at it.

  • @SkankyRegg "skank" is a dance, but also a style of strumming. "skat" is a vocal technique. blues traveler is good at it.

  • SKA SKA SKA !!!

  • @BKMTpictures saw that! haa

  • technically, ska is not technical, and he did a good job.

  • technically, ska speaking, he's doing it wrong.

  • he starts playing guitar at 01:45 ...like this so poeple can see nd fastforwards

  • @smubmub

  • i wish i was as high as you were in this video

  • Hey at 1:53 "G major Bar Chord 355433" what do the numbers mean?

Im still only learning. Any tips would be helpful.

  • @Punkforbrains its the fret numbers as you're going from the thickest string to the thinnest string

  • @Punkforbrains the numbers are tabs

each number is what fret your fingers should be on

it begins at the low e and ends on the high e

  • i lov this videos,,,, thanks californian guys! you rock... Greetings from Costa Rica!!! positive vibes.

  • @TheOzzyCometh No, accents are put on 2nd and 4th of course. But, believe me or not, it's up ( mute ), down ( chords ) up ( mute ) down ( chord ) for Ska beat. And you cut the sound with left hand if you are right-handed. Listen old Jamaican Ska like Tommy Mccook and Skatalites. For reggae, down stroke is often used for skunking and upstroke is used for muting. Well it actually depends what kind of sound texture you want and there are no rules though.

  • No, it's up down up down up down

  • @tokumas uh no it's not. what the hell kinda ska/reggae accents the 1 and 3?

  • Everytime Jerry Jones calls a play, chuck Norris dropkicks a baby kitten in the face.

  • I keep getting emotional when I hear that little rhythm at 7:32.. It brings up so many memories D:

  • why do u guys fight?

  • dude your chord progression is dope!!

  • fuck, how could you do that in the end?

  • Thank you.

  • Reggae is ska after black nationalism and rastafarianism ruined it.

  • @jbgandhi2 Fuck you piece of shit dont disrespect rast fuck head.

  • @kshackdabullet Would you like to state any facts to further your argument? The fact is, reggae = ska + black nationalism + rastafarianism. In my opinion, ska > reggae. I didn't say anything disrespectful about rastafarianism, just that it ruined ska. Hell, look what it did to the Bad Brains.

2 fucks and a shit, but good job using that period!
