hi there idiots, being a str hero does not mean pure carry/tank or whatever. Some str heroes are meant to be support. Take omniknight, can be a support, disabler, maybe even a carry. But u idiots say that AC,heart, all these items that add tankiness and survivability suck on Axe, fuck you. And who says shivas is a bad item for Axe? you all think that int items are for int heroes, str items for str, agi items for agi. Please man, stop acting like you know dota. Play runescape, please

Uhh what, no blade mail is terrible cuz when he battle cries the extra armor reduces the damage they take from blade mail even more so if your carrying around a shivas and a vangaurd. And heart is still good @pseudoscabbia cuz its like what +40 str it just lacks combat regeneration is all its still the best tank item in the game

i got a better strategy if the damage that is being taken by one attack is more than 120 with the damage block from vanguard i sell vanguard cause its useless after that point if you pass that point then you will need strong life steal or dissambling effects against the damage dealers so simple duh also getting armor is the best strategy to survive in late games an tottal of 50 armor gives you 75% damage reduction so you can say that in lvl19 and higher an assauld cuirass gives much more defense

thats not the reason duh axe is a hero who is meant to push and make the enemy heroes run also to tank his allies from taking damage axe should have items such as shivas guard and cuirass but sadly vladimirs armor aura DOESN'T STACK with the armor aura of assault cuirass why? there is only 1 armor (devotion aura) which means that instead of making vladimirs offering to retain life you should buy vanguard and later sell it to achieve 1 of the following items shivas guard assault cuirass and HoT

Guard doesen't stack.... just a meaning of noobs xD If both appear you still only block the dmg once.... only the chance of blocking the dmg rises.... but it isnt 80% (2 times 40%) that you block the dmg. It is about 60%. For more information check the DotA Mechanics on theoffical DotA Homapge.
