  • It's excellent.

Just play less pedal, it will be even better. :)

I play this too, very similarly, just without the excessive pedal.

  • Un vrai prodige le jeune homme, bravo ,d'une rareté en soi et c'est peu dire, car j'ai déjà vu bien pire,Bonne continuité jeune homme, quoique peut être pas maintenant....

  • I really don't like it . You need more traning... I'm plaing it better after two weks. Sory, for no record, I don't want do it, because I want practise it yet.

  • This is indeed a great work, mate. Even I can't play as you!

    Congratulations, mate!

  • BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!! AWESOME!!!!

  • Je suis juste en extase. C'est impressionnant, vraiment.

  • Hi Marcel, I really like the way you play :) congratulations!

  • ez még mindig zseniális((:

    imádom a stílust ahogy játszod.

  • hey i wasnt looking 4 this song but ive played it!!

  • Well played! Never heard this set of etudes before. Sounds alot like nr. 2 from the "12 etudes de execution transcendante" - but this one is actually playable :D

    Keep it up mate!

  • @MrOliverKjaerulff

Actually the 12 etudes de execution transcendante are based on twelve earlier etudes, including this one. Quite logical you recognise nr 2 in this etude, since it was based on this piece!

  • woot

  • Sharp playing, but you need to tune ur piano - seriously.

  • I have never heard this predecessor to #2 from the Transcendtals. Thanks for posting.

  • I do this etude in 6 class.....It`s so easy.......But it is not singing good....sorry......It`s sometimes....to fast or too slow...

  • Very good!

    You deserve a new piano.

  • Spectacular, you are a great player.

  • I love it.You play very well(L)

  • *Bravo!

  • Brava!

  • you inspire me so much ._.

  • i am ok at the piano but i couldn't even fathom to do that

  • awsome

  • Very good!!

  • is this really the liszt no 2 etude? i couldnt find the score =(

  • Hey boy... you're good, really good...

Have MSN? We can talk... will be cool

    see you

  • Nice playing!

If you'll seat a tiny little bit closer to the piano it will make your playing even better :)

  • wow impressive :) 5 stars

  • Awesome

  • esprit!

  • brilliant

  • wow! great! years ago i've also played this etud, it's still one of my favourites! weel done!

    check your pm's Marcel :P

  • Nagyon Grat!(Y) Nemsemmi! Én most kezdek majd bele ebbe az etűdbe, hát remélem nekem is ilyen jól fog majd menni. :)

Am. mennyi idő alatt tanultad ezt meg? :)

  • Play the douze grand etude no 2, instead ;)

It´s is the "real" rockets ;)

  • bello, molto sicuro di se il ragazzo

  • Wonderful!

  • Very good! Your note accuracy is great. I find the only thing lacking is emotion. Rhythm is great and all, but especially with Liszt, being an extreme virtuoso himself, allow yourself to interpret the music with more emotion in the future. Exaggerate certain ritardandos and diminuendos. :D Don't be afraid (especially with Liszt) to go crazy and experiment with the interpretation.

  • true i'm missing the "Liszt feeling" a bit, u have to play it like you want to crash the piano ;)

  • Not bad

  • OH MY GOD!!

    u are so good!

how long did it take u to learn it/ I have a test the following sunday and must take this piece. practiced for 2 months and still cant get hang of it. how old r u/ im 12....WOW!!!

  • I wanna learn the piece!

  • sounds fun. Really. That put smile on my face :D

    Its well played.

  • Overall very well played! You have a good sense of how this piece should sound. I only have a few comments.

First, try to almost over-accent the first note in the left hand for the second, third and fourth bars. Secondly, in the sixth and seventh bars try to make the motif louder (the motif is played by the first note in each set of triplets in the right hand.)

    Keep practicing! You have potential.

  • excellent!! ;P

You are so talented...it's such a pleasure to hear you playing..really good.I love Liszt.:)

  • pretty good i can only not unterstand a few things

  • Excellent. difficult piece well played. how long did it take you to get it to that level? i'm also trying to play it.

  • how much time did you practice on that piece?

  • I will post a video response soon as i am currently learning this piece!

  • Bravo!!

  • Hi...we are two young pianists.

great job and a nice interpretation!! =) I LOVE LISZT!!!

  • I signed up to youtube just so i can post a comment and tell you that you're magnificent and an inspiration. i cant stop listening to you play! how old are you?

  • Great job!!! You deserve a Steinway man!!...

  • Do not dishonour liszts name by recomending a steinway for his performance... a BOSENDORFER would give a much more acceptible tone

  • eh a steinway would do just fine

  • I love you magical sound and ease. Pure extacy.

  • Szia. Imádom ezt a darabot játszani és hallgatni. Ez a kedvencem. :)

  • Very good mate.

  • dude that was greeeat.

haha, my piano teacher told me to find a liszt etude that i really like on youtube and after listening to you play this piece, you kinda make me want to pick this etude to play now.. =)

by the way, you're pretty cute.

  • AWESOMEEE!!!! dude, i've only seen 1 other video of this song. great choice you did great man. now please, learn his grandes etude no.2

NOT TRANSCENDENTAL!!! DONT EVER LEARN THOSE!! his original grandes etudes are Waaayyy better. his practice etudes are cool too, this being one of them, i've only heard 1 other.

go to classicalarchives(dot)com and listen to them their. pick which you like.

    i recommend, 2,4,6,10 and 12.

    :3

  • Congrats on choosing to play the 1st version which no one plays. Keep it up!

  • bravo ..un buon pianoforte che risponde avrebbe detto rubinstein

  • very nice~

  • and you reason about tune your piano...it´s ill dispose

  • you're playing the first version? Nice job. Now lets hear the transcendental verision.

  • Hi Marcel you was great but I was greatest:-)

  • very good. never heard this piece. keep itup.

  • You're doing great! You deserve at at least an in-tune piano!

  • Hi Marcel, congratulations!! You play very well, this etude is very good. Great job and good luck!

  • Thank you!

  • Wow! What a show piece - very impressed!! :D

  • Yes, exactly. That's why I chose it! :-)

  • BRAVO! This is fascinating!! I know that the Transcendental Etudes were conceived of while Liszt was still a youngster - the final version is what we hear today. I have read that the second version was "virtually unplayable, except by Liszt"! But this first version is so interesting to hear, and you play it so well. DO keep it up, and I look forward to your presenting us with more such performances of seldom heard though beautiful pieces.

  • @vighmarci ahhh dude...try the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody no.6 Now that thing is goddamn showy and hard as fuck

  • i love this song. i love the drama and the dynamics of it. great job

  • Kiraly volt :) Imadom ezt a valtozatot. Mindenki cask a Transcendental Etude-bol tesz fel videot, ugyhogy koszi. En meg nem tartok ott.

  • Thanks everyone! Yes, xNimuex, I'm hungarian, but I live in Ireland though.

  • @vighmarci VÉGRE EGY MAGYAR AKI MAGYAR DARABOT JÁTSZIK A YOUTUBE-NAK. HURRÁÁÁÁÁ. Nagyon ügyesen játszol. ja é bocsi a nagybetűért! Márha megérted, hogy mit mondok attól függetlenül, hogy Írországban laksz. Csak így tovább :)

  • Oh my godd, you are very very cool.. I wonder if you are hungarian (it says your anme) and can teach me..

    anyway.. be blessed!

  • You look very promising pianist, young man. Good luck and endurance! :)

  • awesome work man!

  • Thank you!

  • you can see the influence of czerny in this etude

  • Egyszerűen zseniális!

  • Yeah, it's not a popular piece, but still it's really cool.

  • I don t know this

  • Hey!I'm Polish and I play this etude, too! :) I love it!

  • exellent!
