  • They didn't RECORD anything with synth, they never said they didn't use them LIVE!. Of course they needed them, as there were just 4 of them playing! (or 5 with the additional musician)

  • A great montage of photos and a super intro by Freddie.

  • me quedé con las ganas.... es lejos el peor video de youtube

  • This sounds like it might be from the Hammersmith 1979 or Earls Court 1977. Maybe live in Houston 1977. Not sure though

  • are retarded ? Freddie says "HELLOOO BERLIN"

  • Sarcasm

  • @classicrockrockz it's Berlin. Freddie says so...

  • @bearshaped I said it was sarcasm.

  • @Alexander87oclock Haha yeah that was pretty funny I played it over and over :P

  • lmao I love it xD

  • I wonder what that synth sound @ the beginning of song was? As Queen did not use them early in their career

  • I think this concert was from '77 and they certainly used some, even if it was minimal synth sounds back then.

  • but they didn't on their albums til The Game from '80. Too bad this vemonous intro was cut from Live Killers

  • it prolly was mays guitar

...if he can make a cat meow from his guitar he can do anything but it was most likly a synthisizer

yes they didnt on a night at the opera but they prolly did live

  • I read 1ce that the synth noises on Get Down, Make Love was made w/ May's guitar. So, it is probably true with this song

  • @daddybecks

no.till the 1980 they didnt use synth it was brians guitar

  • @adarov Correct Sir! The Game album (1980) was the first Queen album to have synths on it. EVERY other sound was instruments and vocals!!

  • @daddybecks In that time (1977), Roger Taylor included some syndrums in his drum kit, and that sound could be those syndrums.

When he does his solo in Keep Yourself Alive in the bootleg of Houston 77, you can clearly hear them....but anyway, i don't like how it sounds.

  • @daddybecks It was done by Brian and his Red Special. No Synths!!

  • @daddybecks No, all of their albums said NO Synthesizers.

  • @daddybecks It was not a Synth, they are all natural sound mixed by the guitar effects of Brian. He explained this in one video.

  • @daddybecks they most certainly did not until 1980 the 'synth sound' (sic) you hear is Brian's guitar...

  • @daddybecks It's my understanding that they didn't use Synths until 1979 when they recorded the Game. Perhaps in concert they did not sure.

  • It was Brian's May Red Special guitar

  • I figured it was

  • i think he could end world hunger with that thing!!! it purrs so sweetly!

  • yeah ;)

  • @JIF882 @JIF882 They weren't technically "synthetic" sounds. On the studio cut of DOTL the intro is made up of all sorts of sounds and screams and things, but everything you hear is a natural sound. Be it revving engines or laser beam noises it was all an actual something making the noise. This particular sound (along with said laser beam noises) was made with Brian's guitar.

  • @ChaseMcQueen Well, sounds like a synth. I'm talking about this live recording.

  • @JIF882 Right... I'm talking about this recording. I'm saying that it isn't a synth. It's part of the recording Brian made with his guitar... it's a track that they played at live shows.

  • @JIF882 not synths yet, just tape delays + guitar. Later they started to use the Eventide harmonizers + guitar and then synths for live effects/noises.

  • @JIF882 Believe it or not that was the Red Special, Brian May's Guitar!

  • @JIF882 actually it wasn't a synth, it was Brian's self build guitar. He could create any sound with it. You also can see this on a lot of vids from different concerts.

  • @Lolek30 Yes, I know that.

  • @JIF882 not an albums at least

  • Thank you for respecting him.He was a grat guy.

  • akakja.. freddie saying bad words.. :O
