If you would spin like a ballerina, you would lift your right foot and spin clockwise. And if you are lefty, you would lift your left hand and left foot and spin anti-clockwise. The purpose of this is to see whether you will claim that you can see both or just simply lie to yourself to impress the others. It's turning clockwise, everything else you see are illusions.
Intervals. if i look down at its feet quickly mid interval, my perception shifts. If I do it again, it shifts again. Easy to switch between the idea it is going clockwise or counter.

What I've done several times, I focus on the suggested videos on the right, then scroll up and down keeping the video in my peripheral vision, and going slightly below it. Do it quickly and it changes sides several times. Worked for me about 5 times now.
the real trick here, is you get stoned, stare at somthing else and have her in your peripheral vision and she will morph and warp each time an extremity is eclipsed by her body

@JRock005 I think this experience is because your brain cannot take "pictures" of the fan fast enough, and if the fan reaches a certain speed, you take only pictures when the fan is at point A, and then point A -1, then point A-2 etc. as the fan very quickly spins around to the A-1 or A-2 position, and as your brain stitches these photo's together it makes a reverse video play back to you.
I believe it's due to the high speed of the fan so is likely a different type of illusion.
The notion of this being right or left brained is WRONG!!
This works because our brain takes information cues about this 2d picture and wants to make it 3d...so we fill in the information gap and because of the 2d nature of the image, we can perceive it as being either way.

I've determined a few things about this for people who see it both ways.
1. If you concentrate hard enough, persistently all the way through, it will NOT change direction.
2. A single moment you lose focus is all it takes to make it spin the other way.
3. Clicking it at different spots on the time line won't change the video, but will just change your mind, whether you want to or not.
I have a theory. Instead of dividing everyone into "Logical" or "creative", there are blends of both.

i dont know if this is true. i know im left brained, and i can actually feel that my left brain is working when im looking at the picture, yet she still spins clockwise. meanwhile, while im reading the paragraph below the vid and i start to use my right brain more, she spins the other way. so i dont know really

The image is spinning clockwise. How could anyone see it spinning counter-clockwise ? It can only be spinning in one direction. Anyway, if it means that I'm right-brained, then your prediction of my behavior is completely incorrect. I do not have a talent for creative writing or art. I don't like philosophy or sports. I do daydream, but then again, who doesn't ? Lastly, I'm decent at math and that is actually the field I pursue as a student. In short, this experiment is crap.

I actually see (from her perspective). That she had lifted her right leg up and moving it towards the outer side of her body. But if you have been told that it also turns counter clockwise (to the left). Then you will imagine it going counter clockwise because thats what you demand your brains to see. Same thing with parents not wanting to listen to kids because they got more "knowledge". So they keep believing theirselves. Even tho the subject may be out of their knowledge.
