  • Great videos. I have a belt in tae kwon do and am now studying kyuk ki do. Keep up the videos!

  • Thanks I'm working on some new videos hopefully within the next month or so I'll have something.

  • I would've loved to take classes here but I live on the other side of the Atlantic =|

  • great vidos man, would love to take classes

  • Nice vid!

And what is the song in the beginning called? It sounds awesome. =D

  • Thanks Thom! The song is by Silver Chair. It's called Madman off of their first album.

  • very nice explanation, i like how you showed multiple variations! keep these vids coming.

  • Thanks, will do!

  • Yeah, small world. Look forward to seeing you in class.

  • Thank you, this is a great video! =)

  • Great techniques Josh! Never personally studied Hapkido though I have studied many others I have always enjoyed hapkido though very effective techniques similar to other styles. Bring on more!

  • I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Really liked the way you talk about "thinking out of the box" so that you can defend against different types of grabs wherever...

  • Thanks a lot. I'm glad that I have the opportunity to share Hapkido.

  • Just keeps getting better and better! I'll wager you could start a whole new school by now with all the new students these videos would have introduced to the art.Can I make a video request? I'd like to see some videos of how you flow from one technique to the next. Maybe armbar-winglock-hip or whip throw or whatever you'd prefer. Hapkido really come into its own when you see how the techniques all combine and work with each other. As you well know its not just a set of individual techniques

  • Thanks for the comment. I have a few requests that I'm working on already so I'll see what I can do. Not sure if I am familiar with the names that you use for techniques, but I'll try to pick another good flow drill.

I wish I had as many students as subscribers, but I run a pretty small school. I welcome anyone to come train with us if they are in or near Lincoln, NE. Anytime.

  • I study Combat Hapkido, and I'm just getting into the arm lock series again. These techniques aren't exactly what I was expecting, but this isn't Combat Hapkido! Still, I like to see new ways to do things, and while the goal here remains the same, the techniques are slightly different in a couple ways. It's refreshing! Keep it up, Josh!

  • Clear and simple explantion, covers a lot of the "what ifs" great work Josh.

  • I'm thankful for all of the positive feedback.
