The plaque on my lungs caused by the asbestos fibers rubs up against the nerves in my chest cavity every time I breath in. EVERYTIME.

Asbestos is a substance that was used years ago for insulation, because it was cheap, it usually was used in schools, after years of study, it was found that regular exposure to asbestos, it caused cancer in the lungs. It was removed in the mid-90's from schools and other public buildings.
The dangers of asbestos have been known for centuries, slave miners in roman times fetched less money as thier life expectancy was known to be shorter than your run of the mill dogsbody. In modern times profit was more important than employee safety, sad but true. The big companies must take responsibility for the deaths of thousands of men and women exposed to asbestos at work in the last 50 or 60 years. Shame shame shame.
It might've been known, but it was not proven, and just big corporations, they need PROOF of something before they stop their practices if PROVEN to be unsafe...there is a bit of irony, the same companies that put the asbestos IN, is the same companies that took it OUT, and put the safe stuff back in. LOL! That kills me, I wish I could do that..double the business!
