Wow this is really cool. What do type of string do you use around his neck? I think the bucking was planned. You patted him after, although that may of been saying that your sorry and that its ok to be scared/annoyed, but im pretty sure it was planned??? :D
@Heartland4ver Hi, Thanks for your comment! The string is just a string that I had on my Natural Horsemanship Whip. It has a loop on the end which is very useful.
Your video was much more fun then mine, only a progress string and leg presure, very good. I think the bucking was planned. I can't see the ears but the tail was not moving. Although I don't why you would teach a horse to buck.
Considering the level of training, and the fact that the horse didn't have to buck to get you off, a fast side step would have done it, I would say the crow-hop was planned. Not sure of cue, perhaps something either vocal or with the knee.
I would say the bucking wasn't planned. I can see that the horse was getting upset and he was annoyed, so he bucked to tell her to stop bothering him.
i think it was planned bc u didn punish him for it which why would you let your horse that is so well trained pick up a habit like that so i think it was
Hm....was the bucking planned...On the one hand: Why would you publish it when it was not planned? On the other hand...it just looks too real and maybe you posted it because it is fun and you want to demonstrate that things like that are normal and happen? I guess it wasn't planned!
What do you think? I've put up an annotation and hope that other people will have a guess :-)
You can steer a horse using your bum, hip and legs - you don't need reins at all! It is usefull though to have a rope around his neck as I have in the video - just in case...
my reaction was, damn, this horse fucking sucks. it's not jumping through fire or anything.

I think the bucking was planned, you looked like you did something with your hands to encourage him.

Shortly before the pony bucks you gently squeeze his shoulders with both hands - absolutely planned!

My guess: The fact, that you stroke the horse after fallen from it speaks against a planned bucking. (:
