@urjrdman It's because they're pony cars. The current mustangs are somewhat modeled after the original shelby whereas the very first mustangs actually had the similar semi aerodynamic side windows that you see here on the camaro. Except the mustang's were much wider. Forgive me, I tend to take pride in the knowledge that I have of these kinds of things. :O)

But didnt your hear about the challenger coming out the same time as the camaro and if you didnt know that would be the Dodge Challenger. The only pos cars are japanease cars like honda, toyota, suburu. They are overpriced p.o.s cars, and so to conclude this comment, you should check your facts before you say something.
Really? Why is that? Am I not entitled to my own opinion? ALOT of people will agree with me that Chevy produces cheap made overpriced vehicles. They only decided to bring back the camaro because of Ford's Mustang redesign and of course Dodge's Charger and Challenger. They're imitators, not originators. They're a "sinking ship" because too many Americans have been screwed over by them enough to spend their hard earned money elsewhere. Chevy is near finished.
This car is awesome and now you can own one or two or three...
