..sometimes, I wish that I could invent a machine--in which I could erase the painful memories of our lives so that we can go on better in peace. And, keep or enhance the sunny moments which would bring a big smile longer to our face ... sometimes, I wish.

its not only the painful moments of our lives - its also the painful memories of our parents and grandparents that have to be "erased" before real peace can come.
There´s connections most of the people don´t know and see - and so less talking about that things.
Love is the only remedy and cure. Real Love, not what is nowadays claimed to be love, but is mostly something different (think you know what i mean)

So true. My grandparents were born into WW I. Then, my folks born into "The Great Depression" era/WW II, American and German experience. Then, for some of my close relatives & friends of friends came the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and of course, Iraqi Freedom. More so than external wars of the past--hundreds of years--are the internal ones--which were passed on. In the real world where everything is far from being perfect...we are so lucky to have something that is, unconditional love...

unconditional love is sooo important - and so only very few people understand this.
I hope and pray the people understanding and acting like this will grow in number

I can't imagine stopping in conversation & searching for clues, connections. Frantically trying to make sense of what's going on, becoming more lost. As long as we don't act different to those w/Alzheimer's. Be ourselves...Just a small reminder to those w/o Alzheimer's--to talk more, hug more, cry more, laugh more harder & longer. I walked in honor of my aunt & sadly, I'll never see her again. Well, someday we shall meet again & I'll walk all the way to heaven for this cause. Thanks for caring.
