@4verageJane47 Hmmm, what kind of miserable and frustrated live someone must have to search for acknowledgement in such pathetic bullying (quotation: 'you are far behind', 'you're no real man', 'you little puff', etc, etc). Psychologically revealing (indicates a high degree of frustration). My nativity is nothing of your concern (can't remember you giving yours).

@4verageJane47 Sure. btw: Checking your Youtube channel, it turns out, that you, the tmendez31 and the S4Mification figures already worked together in the past in crying down others in Youtube. @TomRe46 Simple. It's called messaging to others you like what they say and discuss it further. But much of it is laughing at the village idiot and informing others of moronic posts we see. @TomRe46 And again, nice dance around the discussion. You'd make a great politician; I truly believe that. Dodging the issues, pointing out facts from another topic to avoid answering questions. Still not proud enough to say where you're from? I'm sorry, It must feel bad to be the one everyone is laughing at.
@4verageJane47 I'm rather sure, that of lot of people are currently laughing, but about us both. Two village idiots in a childish quarrel about the last word. Of course you may feel free to post your own location (and/or your whole boring story of life) here as much as you want. I'd even pretend to listen (or maybe not).
@TomRe46 I think you mean life. Miserable and frustrated life. Frustrating life if you mean now. Calm down, don't let other people's opinion bother you so much it throws you off.
@tmendez31 Looks like you took care of his dumb ass. He's lost it and has resorted to the behavior of a 7 year old. And he tried so hard to sound like he was giving an intelligent report on the movie. Well done, sir. You even got him to admit he thinks of men in women's clothes. He was surely taken to school. :) (lol, little man complex, good one)
@Applachia0928 Red Tails? Oh yeah, I remember vaguely. Wasn't that the movie, I've expressed a dislike about some months ago? And you liked that? Really? It's a funny world.
@Applachia0928 I've been to airshows all my life and I am a HUGE WWII aircraft buff. These planes looked so sweet and in no way looked plastic. They even captured the torque and slip stream effects on take off. I noticed, not they he would. Granted nothing looks as real as the real thing, but unless he can find the number of aircraft needed for such a movie, CG is all that is available.
Pity that the reviews are exactly what shows through on these trailers, the aerial scenes look too unrealistic, like a video game with unnatural camera movement etc, just like Star Wars prequels. Why on earth to ILM do things that are one step beyond their capabilies and the shortcommings show through instantly and they failed us again. I wanted this movie to be good because the premise was worthy. What a shame.
Saw it. Loved it. Was a great movie. The character stories could probably have been done better, but no real problems with it. Awesome battle scenes. Seeing the actual numbers involved as far as aircraft in bombing missions is amazing. Great p-40 vs 109 fight scene as well. People tend to forget, it's not just the plane, but the skill of the pilot.
George Lucas had to put up 58 million of his own money to get this made, because the Studios wouldn't touch it. Support this movie!...It's disgusting that movie studios won't back a serious movie with a mostly black cast because they think they can't make money. I hope this movie does well especially since it tells the story of Americans who risked their lives for us. Color should NEVER be an issue. When will we as a country ever learn??
We need to support this movie...It's disgusting that movie studios won't back a serious movie with a mostly black cast because they think they can't make money. I hope this movie does well especially since it tells the story of Americans who risked their lives for us. Color should NEVER be an issue. When will we as a country ever learn??
@greekhiker Well said! I'm niether American nor coloured but that by no means makes me appreciate any less the amazing job these guys did. Plus it's about time we had a decent film about the Flyers of WWII, no matter what their colour or creed.
@greekhiker That is a bunch of bull. Color is not the issue and this country has learned. If this country was truly a racist nation the NFL and NBA would not now exist. But, if want to continue to believe that this is a nation of racists, because you are being told it is by people who profit from the perpetuation of it, then go ahead. it's a free country, but consider yourself a part problem and not part of the solution.
Finally a younger generation will see the legendary p-51D mustang in action and what real pilots are made of, also the incredible story of tuskegee airmen
I wonder when this is coming to Greece :( hopefully the theater will have some info tommorow when I go watch Holmes 2 with my buddies. It sucks that non-AAA films get shafted so hard outside 'intended audiences' :/
Notice the extreme detail people (white I assume) are combing this movie on a molecular level in terms of accuracy. Ask yourself, has this ever be done to plethora of 'white' WW2 movies...and you'll find the objective answer is no. Think this is just a stupid comment, I suggest you ask the Bombers they escorted. Talking smack on you tube might feel cool, but making it home alive to see your family and children, with a red tail escort probably trumps that. Just saying.
@lemmonmcIV Yep. Every other war movie has fictional characters and situations in a historic setting, yet those movies haven't been critiqued like this. Did they complain about "Pearl Harbor" having fighter pilots turn into bomber pilots, or even complain about Charlie Sheen's character in Platoon shooting one of his own? Nope. It's all just an attempt to downplay it because they fear a some kind of black uprising (or Obama re-election tactic) from watching a movie.
If you go to most Miracle at St. Anna clips, it's the exact same thing. All of a sudden these "movies" have to be documentaries with precise and undeniable accuracy.
Meanwhile, an entire troop can sing the Mickey Mouse song at the top of their lungs while in enemy territory in Full Metal Jaket and no one bats an eye.
White people still up to their hatin' ways in 2012.
@sneakurp if you read what Chuck yeager had to say about fighting me 262's he said he would wait until they ran out of fuel and shoot them while they where landing. VERY few 262's where shot down in actual combat because they knew they didn't have to turn with the mustang just run away at 100mph faster. The one that where shot down where either FB models or rookie pilots.
@broylesgilbert19 The Me-262 was much better than the P-51, the issues stems from the 262 coming late in the war and thus suffering from terrible fuel shortages and increasing lack of well trained pilots(lack of fuel forced cutbacks in training flights) Additionally the vast majority of me-262s lost were either destroyed on the ground or during landing and take off when the aircraft was slowing.
@Royalfork1 The Me-262 was faster, had better guns, and a fantastic climb ratio. The P-51 was more maneuverable, had longer fuel range capabilities, and higher service ceiling.
Chuck Yeager and Rich Candalaria, to name only two American pilots, had more than one Me-262 kills in their careers. Both of these pilots engaged the Me- in fur balls.
@rgarcia77 Chucks favored way to shoot down 262's was when they where landing. He said that in his book. He also said he had very little luck shooting them down in Dog fights unless they made mistakes or they where the FB model that was very difficult to fly and not as fast as the straight fighter model.
@randyslittle You are right. Yeager's method was to get 'em while they were landing. The Me-262 was a really tough plane to catch, a beautiful plane for that time.
@broylesgilbert19 do a wiki on the p-51 and hawker tempest---heres one quote from wiki--[-Hubert Lange, a Me 262 pilot, said: "the Messerschmitt Me 262's most dangerous opponent was the British Hawker Tempest — extremely fast at low altitudes, highly-manoeuvrable and heavily-armed].
I had the pleasure of being invited to a preview of this movie last night in Chicago. While it certainly can be considered a "black movie" - shortly into it, it was clear this movie was more about the achievement of great Americans, regardless of color.
As a child, I was a huge fan of the TV show 12 O'clock High. This movie takes it to a new level. The air combat scenes and special effects in this film are stunning, matched only by the excellent acting.
@Blueboy0316, they're all "black" because this movie is based upon the events during WW2 involving the Tuskegee Airmen, a squadron of pilots in the war.
@Willitinator thank you! finally somebody who wasn't shooting up in history class. also something i find interesting. there was a film made some years back called the tuskegee airmen with some big names, among them, cuba gooding Jr! and now i saw this trailer and im all like "holy shit! its tuskegee airmen 2!" definitely going to this. ^^
@skip1lp SEMPER FI SIR!! I'm a Cryptological Technician Technical (Intel) as well as an Arabic linguist (major in college) attached to the 11th M.E.U. One of the few personnel in the unit that spoke Arabic. I also speak Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese. I'm PROUD to have been one of the few enlisted men to conduct Intel briefings to Officers (due to my experience out on the field), and YES I am a AFRO-LATINO. I'm PROUD of our contributions THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. OUR HISTORY needS to be HEARD!
GOSH I can't wait to see this movie. This trailer LITERALLY gave me chills. OAN: Why does NE-YO ALWAYS have a hat on? Dude, we KNOW you're bald. #DealWithIt
@sneakurp first of all those did not look like stukas. second of all stukas are dive bombers. second of all if they even were able to get in the air, the tuskegee airmen, flying p-51 mustangs, which are fighters, would easily knock them out of the air
@NedHunt8house dude i was trolling lol stukas were shot out of the skies like flies on all fronts, as if they had a chance against even a spitfire or an il-2 or something. If you look closely at 2:08 you can see a stuka close to the camera, its cabin and rudder visible
@sneakurp hans ruddel flew stukas religously from the begining of ww2 he might argue your ideas. but what would ruddel know he's just the godfather of modern aerial tank busting.
@NedHunt8house. Indeed, the Stukas were sitting ducks from the very start of the war, only good for dive bombing. By the way, I wonder why all the German planes seem to have yellow bands on the tails. Never seen that before.
@Humbertusmarius i don't think it was all. i think i was supposed to be a squadron marker or some kind of identification in order to determine what squadron they were from. thats my guess
1:52 "men who changed the war" LOL, I'm sorry but the 332nd fighter group(red tails) was one of the lowest scoring units in the western front, there impact was minimal at best. Way to go Hollywood.
@Royalfork1 ummm #FACT not only did this movie portray how AMERICA was about to lose a war due to the low number of TRAINED fighter pilots AND pilot deaths, but its in the history books GO READ ABOUT IT! With that being said, the Tuskegee Airmen came in and SAVED lives that could have been lost. They sacrificed THEIR lives to save the same people who didn't want anything to do with them in the beginning. Whether it was 1 pilot or 1000. THEY HELPED SAVE LIVES. point, blank PERIOD! #ImOut
@FrankiePie21 hmm Saying that they saved lives is almost hypocritical, those bombers that they were protecting would end up killing over 500,000 innocent civilians by wars end (and thats just against Germany, not to mentioned what we did to japan), so maybe its you who should pick up a history book.
@Royalfork1 Well how many people did we have to lose at pearl harbor, or how about the 11 million people who were killed in the holocaust. They were all innocent people being surrpressed by one man. those bombers and their escorts saved alot more than they killed and it was all for the good of the world. so maybe you should pick up a history book.
@FrankiePie21 only if you assume every white american was a racist. i was lucky enough to be raised by this generation. youd be surprised how many whites came back from the battlefield with great admiration for black units. most likely the number one contributing factor and support for the civil rights movement.
@Royalfork1 YOU'RE CORRECT...HOWEVER...THEIR JOB WAS TO PROTECT BOMBERS!! THAT WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN GETTING KILLS!! MAKING SURE THE BOMBERS WERE ABLE TO DO THEIR JOB. DESTROY MAJOR STRATEGIC TARGETS...NOT DOWN FIGHTER PLANES!! GET A CLUE.
Why is it that every time a hollywood movie comes out ACCURATELY depicting US forces like the victorious badasses they were, some disgruntled Kraut comes out of the woodwork to drop some revisionist-history bullshit smacktalk?
Holy christ on a crutch, how did I not know about this?! Tuskegee P-51D's spanking the Luftwaffe in HD with modern VFX?! AND the M-E-T-H-O-D Man's in it?! This flick so has my ten bucks, it's not even a question.
Does anyone know the music in this trailer, when the prayer is said? Dying to know what it is.

@greekhiker Well said! I'm niether American nor coloured but that by no means makes me appreciate any less the amazing job these guys did. Plus it's about time we had a decent film about the Flyers of WWII, no matter what their colour or creed.
Thank you George Lucas!
hamel1968 1 month ago
@greekhiker That is a bunch of bull. Color is not the issue and this country has learned. If this country was truly a racist nation the NFL and NBA would not now exist. But, if want to continue to believe that this is a nation of racists, because you are being told it is by people who profit from the perpetuation of it, then go ahead. it's a free country, but consider yourself a part problem and not part of the solution.

Just saying.
lemmonmcIV 1 month ago 6
@lemmonmcIV Yep. Every other war movie has fictional characters and situations in a historic setting, yet those movies haven't been critiqued like this. Did they complain about "Pearl Harbor" having fighter pilots turn into bomber pilots, or even complain about Charlie Sheen's character in Platoon shooting one of his own? Nope. It's all just an attempt to downplay it because they fear a some kind of black uprising (or Obama re-election tactic) from watching a movie.
FarleyTube 1 month ago
@lemmonmcIV

Maybe the p51 could get a lucky shot at a 262, but if it was an me323, every single p51 and b-17 would be wiped out by the hundreds
sneakurp 1 month ago
@sneakurp if you read what Chuck yeager had to say about fighting me 262's he said he would wait until they ran out of fuel and shoot them while they where landing. VERY few 262's where shot down in actual combat because they knew they didn't have to turn with the mustang just run away at 100mph faster. The one that where shot down where either FB models or rookie pilots.

broylesgilbert19 1 month ago
shooting down ME jet fighters was very difficult---they were left to hawker tempests over the enemy airfields.
numpty842 1 month ago
@numpty842 Germany's ME-262's were the best until we came out with the P-51.
broylesgilbert19 1 month ago
@broylesgilbert19 The Me-262 was much better than the P-51, the issues stems from the 262 coming late in the war and thus suffering from terrible fuel shortages and increasing lack of well trained pilots(lack of fuel forced cutbacks in training flights) Additionally the vast majority of me-262s lost were either destroyed on the ground or during landing and take off when the aircraft was slowing.
Royalfork1 1 month ago
@Royalfork1 So, I guess we could conclude that the jet-fighters of WWII came out a little before their time? Thanks for clarifying that for me.
broylesgilbert19 1 month ago
@Royalfork1 The Me-262 was faster, had better guns, and a fantastic climb ratio. The P-51 was more maneuverable, had longer fuel range capabilities, and higher service ceiling.
Chuck Yeager and Rich Candalaria, to name only two American pilots, had more than one Me-262 kills in their careers. Both of these pilots engaged the Me- in fur balls.
rgarcia77 1 month ago
@rgarcia77 Chucks favored way to shoot down 262's was when they where landing. He said that in his book. He also said he had very little luck shooting them down in Dog fights unless they made mistakes or they where the FB model that was very difficult to fly and not as fast as the straight fighter model.
randyslittle 1 month ago
@randyslittle You are right. Yeager's method was to get 'em while they were landing. The Me-262 was a really tough plane to catch, a beautiful plane for that time.
rgarcia77 1 month ago
@broylesgilbert19 the p51 came out before the 262 lol It wasn't that advanced, calm down
sneakurp 1 month ago

An important must see film for all.

2:08 once that stuka gets in the air all dem nigs r dead
sneakurp 1 month ago
@sneakurp first of all those did not look like stukas. second of all stukas are dive bombers. second of all if they even were able to get in the air, the tuskegee airmen, flying p-51 mustangs, which are fighters, would easily knock them out of the air
NedHunt8house 1 month ago
@NedHunt8house dude i was trolling lol stukas were shot out of the skies like flies on all fronts, as if they had a chance against even a spitfire or an il-2 or something. If you look closely at 2:08 you can see a stuka close to the camera, its cabin and rudder visible
sneakurp 1 month ago
@sneakurp i see it lol this movie looks so good
NedHunt8house 1 month ago
@sneakurp hans ruddel flew stukas religously from the begining of ww2 he might argue your ideas. but what would ruddel know he's just the godfather of modern aerial tank busting.
Tarten46 1 month ago
@NedHunt8house. Indeed, the Stukas were sitting ducks from the very start of the war, only good for dive bombing. By the way, I wonder why all the German planes seem to have yellow bands on the tails. Never seen that before.

1:52 "men who changed the war" LOL, I'm sorry but the 332nd fighter group(red tails) was one of the lowest scoring units in the western front, there impact was minimal at best. Way to go Hollywood.

@Royalfork1 They changed the war by being the first African American Military Pilots, smartass.
zwarlen 1 month ago
@Royalfork1 ummm #FACT not only did this movie portray how AMERICA was about to lose a war due to the low number of TRAINED fighter pilots AND pilot deaths, but its in the history books GO READ ABOUT IT! With that being said, the Tuskegee Airmen came in and SAVED lives that could have been lost. They sacrificed THEIR lives to save the same people who didn't want anything to do with them in the beginning. Whether it was 1 pilot or 1000. THEY HELPED SAVE LIVES. point, blank PERIOD! #ImOut
FrankiePie21 1 month ago 3
@FrankiePie21 hmm Saying that they saved lives is almost hypocritical, those bombers that they were protecting would end up killing over 500,000 innocent civilians by wars end (and thats just against Germany, not to mentioned what we did to japan), so maybe its you who should pick up a history book.
Royalfork1 1 month ago
@Royalfork1 Well how many people did we have to lose at pearl harbor, or how about the 11 million people who were killed in the holocaust. They were all innocent people being surrpressed by one man. those bombers and their escorts saved alot more than they killed and it was all for the good of the world. so maybe you should pick up a history book.
joshuahamker15 1 month ago
@FrankiePie21 only if you assume every white american was a racist. i was lucky enough to be raised by this generation. youd be surprised how many whites came back from the battlefield with great admiration for black units. most likely the number one contributing factor and support for the civil rights movement.
Tarten46 1 month ago
@Royalfork1 YOU'RE CORRECT...HOWEVER...THEIR JOB WAS TO PROTECT BOMBERS!! THAT WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN GETTING KILLS!! MAKING SURE THE BOMBERS WERE ABLE TO DO THEIR JOB. DESTROY MAJOR STRATEGIC TARGETS...NOT DOWN FIGHTER PLANES!! GET A CLUE.
