Who is worse? The songwriter for stripping the audience of the way they think his song should be sung? Or the "fans" for stripping the songwriter's freedom to sing his song in whatever way he feels moved?

"The Widow" is about a father who abandons his mother and his sons. Who is the audience to tell one of those boys that he is telling the story wrong?

This is like a Hawkboy cover of the Widow sort of a thing it seems, not so much As Cities Burn. Similar to how Hawkboy redid some of As Cities Burn's songs from Hell Or High Water. Very interesting! Though it's definitely not the same, it's still very cool!

This is what they started the set with, then broke into Thus from My Lips... I'm glad everyone around me was singing ridiculously loud along with me, because that made me unable to hear Cody. And I'm glad I couldn't. This is rough.

In the context of the set, it made a lot of sense. I thought It was cool to hear the whole crowd singing the original rendition while Cody did the newer one. Had to be there I guess.

@TheJacobSlaughter Did they play one twenty seven after this? A couple of friends and I drove from Tulsa to Dallas to catch the show but missed the set due in part to a major traffic accident. It'd be pretty great if you could upload the rest of their set. .

my favorite qualities about this song are how eerie and dark it is, however, those seem to have disappeared.

Wow, Cody is not at his best here at all, thought he'd prepare more for this song in particular. 1:55 sounds so bad, and I know he's a fan of doing different renditions of songs, but not a fan of this one.
