I am 26 years old with CP. Your video made me cry as I identified with all of those throughout my life. I am now married to a wonderful young man who never ceases to help me when I trip. I went through 2 surgeries in my life to correct it and all I have is a little limp. It is possible to live a healthy happy life. And yes, you WILL be loved by someone who doesn't mind how you walk. I am in Graduate School for my Master of Social Work concentrating on Children, Youth and Families. I have also been in a long term relationship, almost five years, to a wonderful man who recognizes me for me and not the way one leg looks smaller then the other or the way I slap my feet or fall down when I get tired.

And you can say that the negative commenters suck, but I don't know how you can say that all of us do- some of us care. And if your aunt is still alive, I hope that you and your family care enough to help care for her. It sounds as if you don't care about her at all, with your filthy language.

Many books and even many Youtube videos are based on outdate materials and findings. My son school's physical therapist based her profession opinion on her research and observation, and she messed up big time! Let just be kind and compassionate toward pp w/ disabilities, because you are fortunate enough to born w/ many gifts.

All people with disabilities should receive helps when needed in many different ways. Help could be as simple as, just opening the door for someone. I'm grateful for these videos. I'm 22 and have what would probably be classed as mild CP, I walk unaided but still have a lot of things I find difficult compared with 'normal' people. I've always resented having CP, and am only now starting to come to terms with it

I have got CP and I do wonder sometimes what great friends i have really got, the ones who want to get to know my soul and not wanting to know me because of the outside. I do thank God every day for who I am, I wasn't a mistake by God, he made me for a reason, like all of us. My cousin is only 5 months older than I am and has CP, and is autistic. He does talk when he really wants to. Right now we are both 27 years old. I grew up around him and never thought of him as being disabled. He's a big part of my life and wouldn't trade him for the world. Every time I see him I say Hey Andrew how are you? I'm a Service worker and have seen a lot of cases. But my favorite job was working at a rehab center for children with CP. (for placement unfortunately)

Those kids made it the funnest jobs I ever had the opportunity of doing. It's been three years and I still wonder how those kids are doing when I see videos like this. :)

I think it's fantastic how America create awareness for cerebral palsy, here in Australia there is no advertisements for birth injuries, no awareness, Australia has very little knowledge about it, which is a shame and a pity. I know a few people who's babies got CP from birth injuries. It seems to be happening more often now. I will make sure Australia gets awareness. Ppl with CP hav special gift and blessing from God that everyone else don't get. They are special and I love them :)

Wonderful video. Simply beautiful. It reminds me of a girl I know, in my year at school. She can think just fine, but she has trouble walking, talking, speaking, moving... you get the idea. Luckily we live in a very tolerant area; if she's got difficulties people just help her, without even thinking about it. It's good sometimes to see people caring, and helping those who aren't as lucky as themselves. Everybody's perfect just as they are, everyone deserves a chance.

This made me cry. This is exactly how I feel about my daughter. She was born completely healthy and completely "normal." Last year, at the age of 2, she fell into a swimming pool and was clinically dead. She is, PRAISE GOD, still with us. She is completely normal mentally, but has slowed and labored speech and walks with a walker (with a limp). The stares and pointed fingers hurt, but I know that one day, she will be whole again! She has intellect, a family who loves her, and she is well taken care of.
