The Haunting and the Innocents are both excellent film adaptations of good books. the 90's version of the Haunting was lame compared to the original. i think there were later versions of The Innocents(Turn of the Screw) but ive never seen them.
This is the first "best of horror" video Ive seen that didn't have terrible death metal
I think that they should start making some horror movies that actually are horror. I just can't get scared anymore and fucking sucks. I need insanity horror at it's best. and that doesn't exist as far as I know.... I'm almost giving up on horror
I hope A Tale of Two Sisters made the list the asian Version! But I know this is your list but the older movies from the 50's and 60's are original in my opinion but not scary.
no doubt the scariest, most horrifying creatures are on TV and radio every night - well...haven' you seen the grisly product of the necromancer's conjuring e.g, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Rupert Murdock etc..... and sad fact is, he broke the pentagon!
I am proud to say i have seen all of these films, and they all deserve the spot they get. Although, I think The Haunting deserves a higher place; it is damn spooky.
thats why you should see them man, i mean it's all about atmosphere. And these movies have it. But a recent very good horror/Thriller was Session 9 ,check out that one !
Wicker man ?? you shouldnt even mention that movie in this video....that movie was fucking hilarious...me and my friend ran out the theatre laughing when they had to kill him for the corn to grow ...ppl were like staring at us
ohhhhh ok i didnt know there was an older version...the new one is funny btw :) i had to run out the theatre laffing when they tied up cage to kill him for the crops to grow.
I found them on youtube. I will take a look at them and later i will comment about them...i planning to create a list of asian horror movies....thanks.
@csnc82 Oh yes! Would love to see an Asian horror list! :D Wow, that will be quite a task, there are so many great ones.
So many of the remakes don't do them justice. The Grudge is a shining example; it lost so much of what made Ju-on so creepy. Kairo, another favorite, lost so much in its transition to Pulse.

a pretty nice list your clip compilation but that NIN inspired computer music is dreadful.
Notice how the classics don't use bad music?

The Omen is my favorite. It's another example of Gregory Peck's amazing acting.

Muy muy buena la pelicula "The Innocenst", lástima que "The changeling" no hubiera estado más arriba en el conteo. Saludos.

Maybe you watch the remake, it's horrible, i think it's with Nicholas Cage, but the original (the one in this clip) is excellent.

Night of the living dead is a great movie by romero, but why isn't dawn of the dead in it, which is, in my oppinion, Romero's best movie?

the Omen was a truly spooky movie, and exceptionally well made. Superb casting all around

U should add an Indonesian horror movie on your list. Kuntilanak and Sundel Bolong.
