Actually he wouldn't. The Raiders run a ZBS which fits Alex Mack's skill set perfectly. Athleticism over strength. Having his former head coach as o-line coach and an former NFL o-line player as the head coach doesn't hurt either..
Great attitude...literally blocks to the whistle (and past it)...goes after people...but he's going to need to get stronger. He's definitely not the most gifted guy around.
I agree DreMack82, he's on the ground too much. If he could do this 0:52, still be standing, and against a better SEC opponent than Tennessee, I'd be impressed.
wow.. were talking about alex mack, not iron man. He eliminated three players on the defense... You expect him to just plow all three of them over like some bowling pins?
This guy is a tank. I never saw Cal ball games, so I cannot say I know anything about Mack, but all the analysts say he is the only guy that could Stand up to a DT like Rajji, that means he would at least have a chance against some of the better DT's in the game. I would like to see some one-on-one drills with him, and maybe some more pass protection stuff. Maybe with some stunts thrown in on the D-line to see how he reacts.
Steelers are getting Alex Mack. Bills will not draft a center with a top 20 pick and the Eagles have a bigger need at Offensive Tackle. If he gets past the Vikings, then he WILL be a STEELER!!
They just hired Jim Michalczik who deeveloped him into a 2 time Morris Award winner at Cal.
I can see him going at # 7 to Oakland who needs O line help with C Jake Grove leaving. Tom Cable is a former O line coach and also knows him from his Cal connections.
I can see a Cal reunion with Cable, Michalczik and Mack.
Alex Mack would be a contender for either Pittsburgh; Pittsburgh could make Mack a versitile lineman by possibly making Mack an Offensive Guard, just liek The Indianapolis Colts did with Mike Pollack from Arizona St.
or Buffalo which he most likley would be their franchise starting Center for the next 7 to 10 years possibly 12 to 14 years, but who knows
He would be a great fit in Miami. We're in DIRE need of a Center. Our center right now is undersized and gets ran over. We have the 25th pick so I think we should get him. Buffalo might get him before us. The Steelers will proabably miss out on him because they have the 28-32 pick (Depening on what happens in the next couple of weeks).
what is the song?
Alex mack is going to be a badass

I think the Ravens may draft Mack at 26. They need his now that Jason Brown is a Ram.

And with the 32nd pick in the 2009 draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Alex Mack.

Hey Alex Mack - get ready for the cold winters in Pittsburgh, because you will be a Pittsburgh Steeler next year!
tomc503 3 years ago
you guys need a Tackle more than a center...
hernandez63 3 years ago 2
U guys would be stupid to draft a center, u need a tackle way more, thus keeping big ben off his butt. Hes gettin killed this year
chiachi77 3 years ago
We give up a lot of sacks in the middle of the line - Guard and Center play is weak. I agree though - a right tackle would be good too - Go Steelers!
tomc503 3 years ago
Mack, the winters are colder in Buffalo so I'd prepare a little better.
