I love Connections Academy.. I have currently been in it for 2 years, and been home schooled my whole life. I have to say, doing your school work online, or a teacher giving you schoolwork, is much more useful and fun then just working out of a book.. Connections Academy gives you the opportunity to work on your own pace, but sometimes you do have to get up earlier then usual for live lessons. It is an amazing opportunity.. And your teachers are VERY helpful.

i dont understand all these parents that want to make a virtual school exactly like a regular school, with the same starting times, same amount of time in school etc. the reason a virtual school is better is because of the flexiblity. the reason public schools spend so much more time is that they have to spend half their time disciplining other kids and paying attention to other kids that dont get it as fast, there is no reason to hold a virtual or homeschooled child to public school schedules

@magdalene74 The students at connections academy are not bound to any type of schedule. But attending online school, it is better to have a schedules because it keeps the students from falling behind on their schoolwork.

This family isn't making their children's schedule to that of a brick and mortar school.The teachers at Connections Academy are only in the office from 8:00 AM til 3:00 PM so its necessary to do work between those times in case of needing help with a question.

@magdalene74 Dude, I know, I go to OCA, and sometimes I'm up at 3am doing my work, I can sleep whenever I want and workout and read and shop and stuff, and my work still gets done and I'm getting all A's. The only time I do have to get up is for livelessons, but other than that, it's at my pace and when I want to do it.
