  • look at 3:39 you can see his face

  • You should specify what sizes you use of the binder clips.

    It doesn't work with 25 mm , 41 and 50..

  • sorry.. im not saying that your idea is bad. it's very great

but mine break my cord today. and i made it yesterdAY

i know that you might say that i did it wrongly

but i watched the video a few times , and i did mine perfectly right

  • What is the second song?

  • stupid music...!!! grrrrrrr

  • @viv1123581

Me to, Skipped the 3gs update from my 3g, thinking the 4G much more worth the upgrade

A lot of people Browsing this comment simply can't buy the iPhone 4g, since it will be $499

Lucky for you I found out on Apples facebook page Sunday they are giving away a ton of iPhone 4gs. Save ya some time, this is the link to Apples contest webpage ... just copy and paste

    way。com/iphone4gfree70

Oh yeah, the code they ask for at the end is FACEBOOK6067

  • you lost me when you started grabbing clips

  • @themitch117 maybe you did it wrong. I have 2, one at home and one at work. no problems for over a year. then again, i'm very careful with my toys hehe.

  • @themitch117 This happened to my cord without any dock of any kind. It's because Apple has made their courds cheaper and cheaper.

  • †

  • i'm not sure if this is such a great idea, it might break my cord. :(

  • watch my video to see a really simple one, after watching it'll make u feel like a retard, not making fun of u, but really i feel dumb too, can't believe no one come up with it

  • Clofs on the ipod touch / iphone there is none on the earlier versions of ipod(nano, chromatic, etc.) they have the buttons ipod touchs/iphones don't

  • cool

  • The newer dock cables are friction fit, not clamped, I know this because I have both!

  • you fucking genius. how the fuck did you come up with this>

    5 stars mate,

  • not u

  • you moron, you wasted 2 hours of my liife and you broke my chraging cord. Youre stand didn't work and was a piece of crap!

  • How do you remove the iPhone? Lol.

  • pull it of - u retard

  • First, you are retarded. L2Spell.

The release clips are inside of the Binder Clips.

  • @oOAxleOo hey faggot theres two buttons you need to press to release them, an they are COVERED

  • Amazing! I got all the way to &:49 b4 I realized your face was reflecting off the desk...I was paying so close attention to what you were doing! :-)

  • nice very creative! i give it 10 out of 8 ! keep it up !

  • i thnk the dock itself is a silly invention. what's wrong with just placing the iphone down on the table while charging it? however for those who do want a dock i think this is pretty clever.

  • 1) when placing phone on the table you're destroying phone's back

    2) you don't see directly phone's display.

  • Uh... all those clips cost at most $3 and can be found at any office supply store, online office supply store, large chain pharmacy, or stationary store. And from the video it took about 10 minutes, and that's to show you how to make a super duper solid version.

If you make even $25 an hour, this version would take you 10 minutes, at a cost of $10 max, compared to the $25 apple version.

Soo.yea. Don't get me wrong tho, if you want a nice looking dock, the apple one is nice and simplistic.

  • if you can afford an iphone bill i'm pretty sure you can just buy a dock

  • Maybe he's one of those people who can afford an iPhone because he doesn't flush his money down the toilet on an overpriced piece of plastic.

  • i guess this isn't so bad :) kinda ugly but functional.

  • i want my 2:46minutes back

  • how much spare time do u have.seriously.how long did it take for u to come up with that mostrocity.good tunes though

  • second sond ?? kinda sounds like a daft punk song?

  • the second song is called phantom by justice

  • the dock is awsome ofcourse , also the songs :D , can u plz tell me the names of the songs , both ??

  • for those asking about if the cables get ruined. I have 2 made, one at my desk at work, and one at home created when this video was made and both work fine still. No cable issues.

  • I love the dock ! Hope new one announce !

  • =)wow

  • interesting!

  • uhhh i think ill do the first one lol..as long as it does what its suppose to which is "stand up" thats fine with me lol

  • love the tunes, and love the dock!

  • me too ^^

  • cool

  • what mask do you use to protect it..it's cool

very great video! Thanks a lot for a creative stimulus, dude!

  • It's an Incase Slider Black Matte

  • if the wires rip off, and I think the binder clips conduct electricity, if so then you're fucked

  • If I recall correctly, the power carried over USB is less than 5V DC and at a very low amperage. So no, you'd be fine.

  • great!!

  • FOR THE HORDE!!!!

  • Nice tunes and nice idea, thx for sharing :)

  • All good songs but i would've went more with something like;

TyDi - meet me in kyoto

    dabruck & klein - Don't dub

sultan & ned shepard - Jeopardy (16 bit Lolitas Mix)

    Nice diy, though =)

  • that is extremely bad for the connectors. your connectors will be all loose after a while and your device will no longer charge unless you get the contacts to line up.

  • What are you talking about? The connectors line up when the iPhone makes a successful connection to the dock connector. The pressure might not be great for the plastic on the cable, but whatever.

  • im talking about how the dock is at an angle so the phone is also at an angle and the phone is going to loosen the connectors over time

  • Is there something special about the USB cable that came with the iPhone 3G? I'm using an older cable here at work (from an iPod) that has little releases on either side of the connector that you have to press to get the iPod (or iPhone in this case) out. Does the cable that came with the 3G not have these? I remember the conector itself being a little smaller.

  • Ok, solved the problem with the use of a zip-tie. Works well for those wanting to use an older iPod cable. just tighten the zip-tie around the the connector so that it presses the release buttons in. Make sure you tighten it such that the loop on the zip-tie is tucked around the back of the connector.

  • Yea, the newer sync cable doesn't have the side release buttons. I believe the old ones are a bit longer too, so it may protrude more out of the binder clip.

  • Nice Video!

    Clean Presentation!

One question... what track is that?

  • thx.

    Music:

    Linus Loves - VH1

    Justice - Phantom

    Digitalism - Digitalism in Cairo
