I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. I agree. The media has been hard on her. But I think she made her bed with some outlandish things she's said. Like your dad, I also am very favorable to Herman Cain. I like a lot of what he says. I just happen to like Paul better. It's been a long road getting here, though. I like Paul because he represents the old school paleoconservativism, which means, free markets, strict constitutionalism, limited government and individual liberty. Good talking with you.

@papersplease I never stated he was qualified. What I said was that I was favorable toward him because I like a lot of the things I've heard from him. I don't know enough about him, honestly. He's an unknown quantity to me, in general. Paul, on the other hand, is well known for his positions and his voting record seems to back up his rhetoric quite well. He represents my core values better than any other candidate out there. I think he has the smarts, the strength, and the character. Thanks.

@gamefreak1000000 Each person has to do what makes the most sense to them. I don't knock yer ol man for his decision. But personally, I don't trust Bachman. There were a host of contributing factors, which turned me off to her, not the least of which are some neocon tendencies she seems to display. But when she made the idiotic comment during her speech about gas prices, she lost me. I guess some people really will say anything to get elected. Your dad should figure that into his calculations.

@Master6String I'm just going by his own word. Most people aren't voting for Bachman simply because of the media and the way they demonize her (kind of like what the media did to Sarah Palin). However, you seem to have a good enough reason to not vote for her. However, I didn't vote for her either. I don't know who I want to run, but my dad really wants to see Herman Cain run for president against Obama. I don't know exactly the reasons why, but I would like to see him win.
