psp go is not a rip off . First of all its two times faster than the psp 3000. It is much smaller and sexier than the 3000. Finally a 16 gig memory stick for a 1000,2000 or 3000 will at least cost 100 dollars. It can possible cost up to 150. Do the math, if a 3000 cost 170 add 100 = 270 or add 150 =320. Your actually saving money buying a go. The only bad thing is that it cost way too much to download games. On a scale from one to ten I give the go a 8.

what a piece of shit system, they got rid of the umd which is fine, they added an internal hardrive which as far as i can tell is designed to cut down on illegal downloading and modding, some extra minor features...meh, but the thing royally fucked up on, the thing it needed most in my book was a 2nd thumb stick, look at the design of the thing, it could have gone where the start and select button are and moved those two buttons above both thumb sticks...but NOOO!!, this is a step back for sony.

A UMD attachment on the Go would be pointless for a handheld that's enforcing 100% digital download only.

If Sony did make that, they would be admitting to themselves and everyone else that their DD only device failed to meet their expectations.

Our best bet is a possible reiteration of the x000 series, rumors are floating around about a possible PSP 4000 but for now they are just rumors.

i have just bought the psp 3000 lite and slim after looking and comparing it to the psp go. the psp go looks much better but other than thats its all the same. besides the not having to carry around all your games its not better than the psp 3000. personily i think that you should buy the psp go because if you loose the psp go you have lost all your games and your credit card will be on it and if someone picks it up than who noes what will happen. plus the 3000 is much cheaper.

if you lost the psp go they would have to know your password to access your account. just remember to not have it remember password. also your download history is stored so you could redownload everything again.
