@cutiegirl1519 hahahaha yes it is a banjo the owner of this property was playing with that "band" they were pretty good and i enjoyed watching the tree house getting put up and the BBQ they had =P
This Giant Oak tree was set to be ground up because it had died. It was rescued by my father who dug a deep hole in his backyard and then placed the dead oak stump there. He then built the tree house and used a crane to place the treehouse on the dead stump. It is still standing and a testiment to "redneck green engineering"
I just hope they didn't cut that tree for the treehouse. I mean which would last longer when we are all gone. I bet you the monthly visa payments are killing them.
@tburgjeff those oak trees are protected in the state of ca. it would have been illegal to cut down. actually you cant cut anything off an oak thats wider then your thumb
i'm not particularly fond of this type of design but thats jus my preference. I would rather not damage the tree when making a tree house, not yet cut the whole thing in half. Part of a good tree house is picking the right tree, not making the right tree.
retarded video, retarded idea

how is this a treehouse? this is a house that was raised onto a tree stump. Kind of cool, but hardly a treehouse.
