  • GOD I hated that mission! dozen of a--holes with miniguns coming out of the woodwork.

  • You only need 1 agent with TWO energy shields and ONE LASER to complete this mission (with 2 laser shots left). Atlantic Accelerator is probably one of the easiest missions in Syndicate.

  • that game had unsurpassed atmosphere, but gameplay was very poor... what I mean by that is that practically all mission you can finish by just walking around as a group of four agents with miniguns.... there is nothing tactical about the game (or maybe for a minority of misisons)..... on that side it is a dissapointment for me.

  • actually you really only need 1 shield on each agent. BUT you would also need to load up the 4th agent with explosives and run straight into the horde while the other 3 take over on the other side(SW) of the map.

after that it's a matter of finding choke points to mow down more hordes of agents using only cheap miniguns(most of them stolen from the enemy) which have lots of ammo. the lasers and gauss guns should to used only on the snipers.

  • every level in the American Revolt expansion was harder.

  • I beat this level on the Amiag using the following method;

I gave each agent a minigun, two flamers, a shield and 4 lasers. As soon as the mission starts I select panic mode and activate the shield. I then haul ass down and to the left, taking cover behind one of the buildings. From there, I position my guys close to the corner and roast every agent that comes around the corner with the flamers. When no more come, I go looking for any survivors and use the miniguns to finish them off.

  • Lol, ah yes, I remember this asshole of a mission - the very last if I recall correctly. Somehow by a miracle I passed it, and to this day I don't remember what the ending was.

  • Hardest level in the game..

  • I beat this stage by equipping each agent with 2 shields and 6 medikits (no guns). I selected a single agent, activated his shield, sent him away from the other three, waited until a big number of enemies were close enough to him, then pushed CTRL-D for self-destruction, immediately followed by a click on a medikit. The agent did not die, but the enemy agents did, and I could STILL trigger the explosion again and again. I beat the stage before running out of medikits.

  • Wow, I didn't knew that glitch!

  • ok. i have to try this method some time. awesome non-suicidal suicide bombing.

  • THIS GAME IS RULES

    I Want it remade!

  • heh. IIRC, I just loaded up my team with 6 gauss guns each and 2 miniguns. I manually picked 1 player, use his gauss guns, and set the other 3 to use the mini-guns on anyone who came near. Every so often I use the loadouts, but put everyone on panic mode with the gauss guns. I don't think anything has come close to how awesome that was to do.

  • oh this does bring back good memories (some american revolt stages passed after much hours & sheer luck ^^)..

nothin like the good ol' days.. thx for the upload..

besides the security card, i also dont remember the clone shield having much effect on enemy agents..

  • I recall the judicious use of lasers and one squad member who would have a flamer to roast agents as they appeared around the corner in close quarter fighting.

  • I remember loading up on lasers for this mission (expensive as hell they were too), no shields, and jacking all stats as soon as the mission started.

Lasers outrange the opposition's miniguns and with your agents drugged to the gills they'd automatically one-shot kill them before they could come close enough to harm you.

    Wasn't perfect, but it worked.

  • there is another way. have about 4 sheilds, a flamer, 2 LR Rifles and a minigun for each agent. at the start, turn on the shields and hot foot it to one of the buildings with an entrance. now wait, they go in and whip out your flamer and toast them all. then just mop up the rest with the LR rifle.

  • I played this game nonstop as a kid. For whatever reason I couldn't stand using 4 agents, and only ever used 1. Worked fine for the first 49 missions, but not this one. I remember how I beat this mission, even though it was probably 10-15 years ago....

  • I took 4 agents in, and loaded 3 of them with nothing but Gauss guns and let them die right away. I then used my main agent with 7 energy fields and 1 Gauss gun. With the 7 energy fields I could be invulnerable for an extremely long time. The strategy was to fire 3 Gauss shots, drop the Gauss gun, loot another Gauss gun off the corpse of one of my 3 dead agents, fire 3 Gauss shots, loot another Gauss gun, fire 3 shots, pick up another one, rinse and repeat until I beat the game.

  • That being said, this game still goes down in history as having the WORST ending EVER. When I'm 90 years old I'll remember how horrible and disappointing the ending is. Curse you Bullfrog!

  • i still want to see the ending!

i remember i beat the whole game, except the last level (was tough, duh!) and then i lost the game, savegame, computer, etc...

and then i never replayed it...

    but sure enough it rocked!

    so,

where could i see the ending?

    link, anyone?

  • IIRC there was no ending. You just got the same screen that you got when you conquer any territory ("Welcome to the dawning of a new empire").

I remember being pissed off because I had spent so long trying to beat the Atlantic Accelerator mission. I think I finally managed to beat it using the regenerating shields and flamethrower method (with 1 agent), which actually makes it quite easy.

  • I played American Revolt for the first time recently, and you fail the very first mission within 5 seconds unless you know exactly what to do. That kinda saps some of the fun out of it for me.

  • I see the agents have a pass card. What did it do? The manual said it made the police leave you alone when you selected it but they keep shooting.

  • From my site:

"Plastic card that allows some security doors to be opened that would otherwise prevent access to restricted areas of the city."

I have no idea which doors opens when you have the card. I never noticed any door which I couldn't open. Maybe this item does nothing?

  • If I remember correctly, although I haven't played this game since about a month after it came out...

The pass card made the police leave you alone unless you were committing violence around them, or were already in a fight with them.

  • Man I miss this game...and this was definitely the hardest level. I went all miniguns and straight into panic mode on this level. I've looked around for a version of the game that will play on modern platforms but have come up empty. Any ideas?

  • Dosbox. Use google for details.

  • Sweet. I used 4 miniguns for everyone, 4 lasers for two agents and 2 lasers 2 long-range for the other two. Panic mode straight away and use the miniguns to beat the first wave, then laser everyone else. I charged the last guy in the building and lost one agent. What a crap ending to the game though.

  • one of the classic dos games from back in the day

  • could you just explain what them bars do the red blue and green ones below the characters on the top left

  • IPA (Intelligence-perception-adrenaline) levels are discussed in the manual. It is available on my site.

  • any tips? havent played it in ages just downloaded it would like to know like what to buy research what not... thanks in advance

  • Check the fansite mentioned below; research Automatic first; buy cybernetic mods as soon as you can, but keep some money for research; pick up any new weapons you'll find on a mission.

  • Memories... (5/5)

  • always were one in these full-shielded missions . 3 Bug: the detonation could be passed if you use the medikit while are in flames the agent will reappeared with all the health hehe ... the list goes on but im getting sleepy haha so now thx t oyou i now know how to capture this movies... i will entertein myself for a while hahah regards my syndicate-fellows ;)

  • WOW, thanks for the buglist!

I will add this to my syndicate. lubie. org fansite!

Great software that one of lisoszop... unfortunatley i dont skpeak polish :(

  • 1 bug, there can be infinite agents in the same spot... use the shield, then select an enemy and direct all your guys to that agent.. now look into the map and you will only see 1 yellow dot hehe 2 bug: the flamethrower goes TROUGH walls, door, wndows, shields...

  • Incredible i found this, manu thxs to you mefistotelis hehe remember my goooood old times in my 486 hehehe. This mission is a pain to ur neck but its nothing next to atlantic accelerator in american revolt. Thanks for posting how to record video using DOS-BOX im gonna record some stuff and put them up to share with synd enthusiasts like you and me hehe. By the way, i dint use the gauss gun in this mission ever... there is a better way, because the game has many ingame-bugs hahahaha

  • oh my god! syndicates... thanx for bringing this masterpiece back into my mind!

  • Atlantic Accelerator is a cakewalk and I have finished it many times. I have a quasi fool-proof tactic which involves a couple of shields per agent, but, YOU HAVE TO SELECT ANOTHER SHIELD *BEFORE* THE CURRENT DRIES COMPLETELY OUT. IT WILL SLOWLY RE-GENERATE, so... you can virtually run around all day with shield if you keep switching between 3-4 shields.

  • Syndicate + American Revolt come a CD. Anyone got it?

  • You can get "Syndicate Plus" on ebay. Also cd-image can be downloaded using emule.

  • Syndicate Plus... yeah now I remember. thx

  • oh my god. you are my hero. loved it how they blew themselves up while you just used the shield.

  • such a good game.

just get lvl 3 upgrades, boosts chemicals to max and use miniguns. not too bad of a level.

American Revolt levels are much harder

  • ridicilous.

I needed 2 days to beat the expasnion pack

  • i also passed this level, but that was like 5 years ago, now i can't do it, i forgot how i did it last time, all i remember is that i had lots of shields, and went into a building...

and yea, american revolt IS IMPOSSIBLE, i couldn't finish any mission, they always bombed me with some crap

  • What did you use to record this video?

  • DOSBox has build-in video recording function. I used DOSBox, then recompressed file (using VirtualDUB) to make it importable at YouTube.

  • Really?? Damn. I passed the Mongolia map with no bullet fired, with 126 people persuaded (including agents, of course) and I didn't record it! ><

  • DID YOU BEAT IT? jesus that level was impossible

  • I did it, but not when I was recording this video.

To acoplish the level, more miniguns are required (minimum 3 per agent, or better 4). Also, 1 or 2 gauss guns are required for the last agent (the one that is inside a building).

REAL IMPOSSIBLE missions starts with American Revolt expansion - I gave up without completing any mission...

  • The way to beat this level was to equip your agents with laser guns and let your agent use them instead of firing together all at once. The laser will take out multiple agents in one shot.
