The information gathered is used to determine what products you'd be more inclined to buy, then those products are advertised to you. That's how they make money. It's a company man, not a conspiracy. The information isn't getting sold to the government so they know how often you watch the Jersey Shore.

This video is WAY over the top for scaremongering etc, the privacy policy- there is a large chunk of the text missing from that which says you can opt out. Pretty much any website has a TOS saying they own your content as soon as theyre hosting it, for example see youtubes TOS, and for the government being linked to the company, find any high up company and it would be linked back somehow via rich investors etc

As a software application programmer, and a PC/Linux user, i can tell you that apple computers are in no way, shape or form safer that windows based computers. With any novice knowledge of the ins and outs of a windows based computer you can keep 99.9% of malicious software and data miners at bay. So please, before you slander the single most influential operating system ever conceived you might want to get your facts straight:)
