I have seen this many times usually it happens when the back engine pedal is kept down when turning.I used to operate 637's as well as 631 and 641 single engine scrapers in the UK and the Terex TS14 and 24. not many scrapers left operating in the UK now. I have creaking bones and joints as a legacy to driving these but I wouldnt have it any other way.Nothing comes close to operating those babies
What the hell??? I would have fired them both!!! All the 37 had to do was power down on the can, straighten up and drive away. Dozer also could have grabbed the bale with a ripper and straightened him out. ROOKIES
seems like the man that owns the iron was on the eight,i'm guessin he pulled em out how he wanted to,,,I know what you're saying,,coulda saved time cannin down and straighten up the 37,,,,everybody does shit different
Love the sound of the D8H, nothing better and music to my ears. Back when we still dug sumps for the drilling rigs with cats, I had the priveledge of running a 46A, the rack was cranked up and it would spit a foot of flame out the top, the rougnecks setting up the rig didn't like the racket and wobbled the job until we shut down. I loved it, they were real cats, the torque was unbelievable, now everyone wants horsepower and alot of revs, dealer conspiracy I say (for more repair dollars)LOL!
Yeah, those are real machines! The guy that is running the D8 has several of them and several 637's. He's probably a lot like you since he's been around Cats since the 50's and not scared to still get on them and put in a days work!

Love the 8's. Buddy of mine has a D8H in great shape. Said he'd sell it to me for 30K. It's worth it too.
Bet that was a stout chain you used there!
