Well She as Queen is a ceremonial figurehead that embodies century old traditions and is almost a living embodiement of British History and i love history so i find it rather interesting. Also she's served her country in ways other than being Queen. She is the last living Head of State to have actively served in the Second World War. I think that is amazing because she was a mechanic and truck driver during the war and most monarchs wouldn't get down and dirty like that.
Get rid of the Monarchy, they are an echo of an unjust past, built on hierarchy and social elitism. @polengsantiago After her divorce from Prince Charles, she would no longer be called " your royal highness, Princess Diana" to simply "Diana, Princess of Wales." That's what was meant by "she's not part of the royal family." As for the "what has she done now," the royal family apparently disapproved of Diana, and especially at that time in her life, there had been a lot of questions as to who this new man was and there were rumors of things she had done that the royal family disapproved of.

Just as Sarah Ferguson is no longer part of the royal family now neither was diana (may she rest) at the time. and "what has she done now" After their divorce princess Diana made tv statements critisizing the royal family and Prince Charles and there was dissaproval over the man she was with. in this scene prince Phillip asks what she has done now because he expects there to be a new scandel.

Well She as Queen is a ceremonial figurehead that embodies century old traditions and is almost a living embodiement of British History and i love history so i find it rather interesting. Also she's served her country in ways other than being Queen. She is the last living Head of State to have actively served in the Second World War. I think that is amazing because she was a mechanic and truck driver during the war and most monarchs wouldn't get down and dirty like that.

Get rid of the Monarchy, they are an echo of an unjust past, built on hierarchy and social elitism. Why should we bow down and respect them for no other reason than they were born into Royalty, they are not elected but enjoy untold wealth, power and privilege, at the tax payers expense, can we afford them in the 21st Century, or more to the point, do we need them? Kings, Queens and Princes, should be cast back to where they belong, to history, in the past or in pantomimes. Viva UK Republic .

funny before seeing this film i thought the queen was a stuck up old woman with no emotion, but it actually sorta made me see things from her perspective, and realise that she deserves the utmost respect. Cause she is doing a damn fine job, she keeps smiling and doing her duties weather she likes it or not, despite being so despised by many. She managed keep the monarchy goin despite all the social changes. Long live the Queen
