I would love to have a full early concert dvd, of his from the 70,s, i have looked and cant find one, obviously it would be footage transferred to dvd.
saw him in 85 too keith and met him in his hotel afterwards .....i was a quivering wreck felt like a teenager again. lol.....thanks again for the wonderful footage much appreciated
faaaaaaaaaaaaaanntastic!!!! been looking for live 74 footage.....need more!! thank u so much for posting this keith......i saw david at shawfield in 74..magical memories
Hi kookoo67, you're so lucky to see DC in action inthe 70's. I saw him in 1985 (21st & 22nd Oct) at the Royal Albert Hall. The magic was still there. Cheers.
@keithyoong the really crazy thing is I wasn't that big of a fan, I went because my friend were all crazy about him but I had the ride. I was a much bigger fan of Freddie Prinze. But it was an awesome show, he was great! I have pictures but he's just a teeny white figure in the middle. Thanks for posting your videos! Brings it right on back.
Is there any hope that the record company will release Cassidy Live on CD??? Any hope in h***? Thank goodness for YouTube. Would never have discovered this version otherwise. Thank you, thank you, thank you again, Keithyoong for putting this video together.
Hi SuzMtl, thank you for appreciating. Yeah, I have been hoping and praying that someone out there would come up with a DC Live CD of the 70's. Until then, let's watch my YouTube video. Cheers.
@SuzMtl If you don't find it on amazon books I would be surprised. Also an online bookstore called:.albiris will have it new or in great used condition for a fraction. I've bought some hard to find albums from the past at both. Good luck
This is brilliant! Thanks for posting. It would be great to get some footage of him in the 70's. Weekend at Wembly seems to be all that there is around.
Thank you for posting this version, Keith. Agree that it's better than the studio version. It's that "scintillating" guitar solo as one music critic called it. I'm obsessed with this version and so envious of all those who got to see him live in those days.
Someone posted on YouTube an interview done in the early 70s when David performed at Wembley (this live footage is from that clip). Did you see it? I'm also hunting for some live concert footage from his heyday. Someone out there must have some???
I don't know if I have seen it, I will look for it though, thanks very much for telling me about it. I am still searching for David live footage from his heyday too. Its hard to find, but I agree with you, its probably out there somewhere.
Can't see my reply to this. Made a mistake: the interview footage is not on YouTube. It's a documentary called Weekend at Wembley done in the UK. You're welcome to message me for the link.
I was just comparing this live version with the studio version (posted by sumerkis38)yesterday. And somehow, this one sounds better. Goes to show DC is a true performer and not just a recording artiste. Glad you like it too.
I want to mark that the musicians in this tour are fantastic. Consider, David was accused not being "Rocky" enough. This tour proves that David was a very good one into rocking too.
By the way, does anyone knows the names of the band?
We are fans of David Cassidy and we're here to pay tribute to David. Not the band, really.
We're not bothered whether David was accused for not being "Rocky (??)" enough. He's "Rocky" enough for us fans. Usually musicians picked to back tours are good musicians. So I agree with you, David's backup band was good.
I hope you understood what I meant. David himself tried to prove that he was a rock singer with "Rock me Baby" and not only an "easy listening" one. He was misunderstood in his time.
What I wrote, was about those they criticized him back at the 70's.
It is not bad to pay tribute to his musicians and his composers, as the result for every artist depends on them a lot.
I listen to David since 1972 and he is my favorite.
We are lucky to get bits and pieces of DC's live concert. Like I said, this is the closest we could get. We are not into facts-finding for the moment. Thanks for watching.
I think the video from 01:05 to 01:10, must be the song "Sunshine". I've seen it at full length back at 70's to a Greek TV program. Since you have part of it, is there any case to find the rest? I wonder what happened to that videos and we miss them.
cas3003, I guess you are right. It is very rare to find full-length or even a full-song live versions of DC. In fact, these clips are not edited from the full-length versions. How I wish I have them too. I took them from various videos and put them together.
andreklau, it's the best we could ever get from the real thing unless we have a time machine. We can turn back the date to 1974 and all of us here would be able to see DC's concert.
Will try to put up a montage of the rest for you. Thanks.
Oh my gosh, i loved this video!!!, i was only 8 in 1974 so my mom and dad would not take me to see him live, but now at 42 i will be ssing him in june!! where ever did u get that oh so hard to find ''live'' album? take care keep up the good work. long live dc!!
Thank you. Good thing I never throw away old stuffs esp. those that I treasure. DC's albums are no exception. Lucky you people. You will be seeing DC live in June and judyafordc, in November.
Does anyone know who is playing that jazzy guitar at the end? TIA!
