When your comp is starting up and you select ubuntu, is there any way to shorten that 10-second countdown (to like 2 seconds) or just get rid of it? I know you can hit ESC and then Enter to skip it, but it's a pain doing that every time. Also is there any way to make it so that at that boot screen, Ubuntu is selected by default? Because I often turn on my computer and then forget about it so that I look back and Windows has started. I'm like F**k. Thanks!

it should just come up after u installed wubi in windows then you reboot the pc and it should come up

i dont get it when i ever i try wubi reg install from disc i get to the busy box text command thing i cant passed that No matter what i do i need help it might be sumthing simple but i dont know!

yes u can uninstall to uninstall u go into windows and goto add/remove programs and select wubi

So even if your Windows disk is near full it deletes everything to do with win and installs ubuntu fully on to the hard disk?

what? no the wubi installer creates a VIRTUAL HARD DISK DRIVE much like in a virtual machine but when you reboot and choose the ubuntu boot option it runs ubuntu from that disk image, if u dont have enough space it wont install duh.

Download the alternate ISO in ubuntu website and place the ISO in the same directory as Wubi.

Wubi downloads the desktop versiopn instead of alternate i think. This worked for me
