Without the EC a presidential election could be decided by, Chicago, New York, La, San Fransicko and a few other conjested places. I agree, except about doing away with the electoral college. Our forefathers were smart enough to keep us balanced with the Electorial college. Without the EC a presidential election could be decided by, Chicago, New York, La, San Fransicko and a few other conjested places. In one election the republican won 80% of the land area of the US, but barely won the election.

Thomas Paine was a deist, and his religion, deism; He believed in the existance of God based solely on the proof of 'human reason'. As you quoted briefly, he was VERY antagonistic and caustic towards Christianity. He did not believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who out of pure love for us shed His blood on the cross to pay for the sins of mankind. No, Thomas Paine didn't believe. If we do, the president of these United States will be elected only by the few metropolitan areas (NT, LA, Chicago, Miami, etc.). Once all the entitlements are gone, and we are broke because of a financial collapse, many government officials will have to hide and hide well.
