I remember watching this on TV everytime it would come on TV. That psychic lady freaked me out as much as the poltergeist every did!

Her, Robert Englund, and many other of the greats are also in the movie Behind The Mask-- if you havent seen it youre missing out. Great slasher/comedy that breaks down the world of the 80s horror movies. Great stuff.

at 1:02 what happened was the dad guy (i havent seen the movie in a while) pulled the rope beccause he was scared and then the crazy dude with the head came out of carol anne's closet. See it all starts with the tree that the kid is climbing around the begining (the tree tries to eat him) and the closet (carol anne gets sucked into the closet)and in Poltergeist 2 she says "they're ba-ack." instead of "they're he-ere."

Then it tuke me 4 or 5 years after for me to be able to watch that bit again! Iwud pull my face away till I cud hear it woz normal again! WEIRD! She died before turning 13, 1989. I forgot the name of her illness, it was some kind of infection in her stomache that killed her before finishing Poltergeist 3, which explains the ending being so terrible. (A stand-in was used for Carol Anne at the very end) Everyone thinks she was ugly and fat. Her cheeks were swelling up because of her illness, and medication. Poor thing. RIP Heather O' Rourke

Actually, she was born with a stenosis of the small intestine. That's an abnormal narrowing. Was mis-diagnosed as Crohn's Disease. The last year of her life, they put her on meds that puffed up her cheeks. They did take her off the meds and her face went back to normal around September 87. Her 7th grade school photo is on YouTube somewhere and you can see she looked beautiful. She died because her intestine completely blocked and ruptured causing organ failure and her death. RIP Heather :(
