idk man im geting shity reverb i got a new hp with that beats shit its bad ass but when i linked up itunes to my shit it started with it what to do i figured if i turn peramp way the fuck down it cuts it out but not as loud should i find a higher grade cord??? plz help realy pissing me off

iTunes will distort if you + on bands, and don't - on preamp.

You never need to EQ, if your room sounds good, and your speakers are ok.

When EQ'ing, (even with the best plugins or expensive HQ hardware,) you degrade the audio, taking out the crisp. also, it's always better to cut than to boost. (Google it.)

There's no such thing as a perfect equalizer setting, the equalizer is there for you to personalize your sound experience.

Also, the best suited equalization setting often depends on audio equipment and genre, I listen do a lot of different genres and therefore have to change my EQ from time to time.

What a pointless video - think about it!  The settings you suggest would only sound the same to another person if they had the same level of hearing you have, the same equipment as in headphones and the same quality track!

Your settings will sound different to everyone else. God knows why you posted a video and didn't include any sound samples or explanations!!!!

Just to establish legitimacy... I've worked as an assistant engineer in a recording studio and have taken college courses on sound engineering. No such thing as a perfect eq for everyone... Why?... Dozens of reasons... But mainly because everyone has different speakers that are sitting in rooms with different acoustics and are listening to different types of music. Nice try though.

Ummm the setting stays on iTunes when played, but it won't if it's played on your iPod.

Custom made EQ settings can't be used on your iPod.

@OMNIPOX1 this is actually not true. It used to be the case that you could not import EQ settings to your ipod but recently that has changed. All you do is create an EQ setting, save it as an already existing preset EQ so you overwrite it, then sync your ipod and it will be in place of the setting which you over wrote.

@LewisAndHarryTv I've been trying to find help on that on youtube... sorry, no luck. There IS an app though where you can change the equalizer, but you must listen to your music in the app. I'm not sure if you have to pay for it or not, but look it up, it looks sweet.

Okay guys we all know this is shit... now I am going to show yo guys something my dad showed me and it sounds great, not loud but clear and you can hear everything perfectly. PREAMP= +3......32= +3...... 64= +2.... 125= 0...... 250= -4.... 500= -10..... 1K= -6...2K= -2.... 4K= 0..... 8K= +2... 16K= +4 Looks kinda like a bird when done. Also this works best if you listen to rock,metal,country. Anything without a shit load of bass. Hope this helped if it did thumbs up please :D

Thats gonna sound distorted. Since the highest bar you raised (64 Hz) is up 2.5 lines, turn the preamp down 2.5 lines. It will be clean then. Make sure when you do that the preamp is checked on like it is in the video.

And BTW, there is no EQ that is perfect for every speaker, because very few speakers are really flat across all frequencies.
