FYI-to all you people without jobs, all you people about to lose your homes-listen up. The republicans WANT YOU TO LOSE YOUR JOBS AND HOMES!
They don't care about you. They know the best way for one of them to win the presidential race is to ruin the ecomomy. They've stated they want to defeat Obama next election at all costs! THIS IS DOCUMENTED! Then, when they get in the white house the very first thing they will do is to CUT TAXES FOR THE RICH! And what about those jobs?......SUCKERS!
I blame most of the problems with the UAW. Unions have got away too long with threats, violence and intimidation. Sure, the GM senior management were short sighted, but the union tied their hands behind their back.
The reason for this is simple: When the auto industry stopped making sub compact cars and focused(No pun intended)on the low mileage SUV's they were setting themselves up for a fall when gas prices spiked after Katrina.
Its really ironic they're talking about the effects on the economy when they started outsourcing jobs years ago to raise their profits.
If we bail them out, are they going to re-open the factories here or move those operations(AND JOBS) to Mexico and India?
