mine is downloading is like 25 kb a second and it is taking forever to dowload. They must have a limit to how much you can download at any time so the server doesnt crash, like castillo911 said. Well if it does that really sucks.

in the US its limited to a max of about 1.5 mbps on the ps3 network so that their servers wont crash due to the high amount of users on the psn.

My PC able to download files at constant maximum speed of 160KB/Sec. The reason why PS3 download is slow is because it doesnt take advantages of simultaneous connection. It only connect using 1 connection to download the file, so even if you have a ADSL2, it wont make any difference with PS3 lousy download manager.

i have a 12mps adsl connection with insight broadband and i got cod4 expansion for my ps3 in about 45 seconds you guys need to contact your isps or check that your consoles are outside your routers firewalls, try using the dmz on your router, it worked for me, i used to get kicked off the psn all the time and since i put myself outside the dmz i have had an excellent connection and quicj response time!!!
