Solid man, i play for the heat now, also a RHP sophomore at watauga. i'd like to talk to you about the whole recruiting process that I'm starting to get into, send me a message whenever
Senior in college or highschool? because you guys have really nice fields for highschool but Im guessing its a college just because how old you guys look.
What part of the country do you play in? becuase no offense...but i play in florida, and everyone throws 85+ unless your a junk pitcher, you should consider tournaments like perfect game, or other combines to showcase your talent and find better hitters to compete against otherwise CC for you!
i like the approach, and the delivery is decent, obviously u have potential because of size, and i can tell by the armstrength, however, on some u ten to overstride and close yourself off. I think the best throw was at 50 seconds
dude everything looks fine until when you shift your wieght forward to throw the ball. you need to brace up that front leg and use it as something to throw against.
check out my video. its from my junior year this past year when i was throwing 84-85.
its not perfect; ive made a few minor adjustments since then and now im topping out at 88mph, even with my smallish frame (5'8" 155 lbs). but watch the front leg even on the breaking pitches it does give in.
hey your form is GORGEOUS. and to all the people that say negative stuff, u all can stop, cuz while ur sittin at ur computer complaining, hes out on the mound doin his job. and if u knew anything about pitching you could tell his talent. like i said before, ur form is impressive
why does everyone have to be so negative..jeese not all pitchers are perfect I think he you guys would strike guys out and your mad......and nigtwig 147? bullshit..there is not even a major league player that can hit 110.
maybe a lil bit more trust in your fastball would help you, your slider has great movement. maybe need to work on accuracy with change up, im not saying be able to throw it for strikes, but consistantly where you want
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the over 5000 people who have viewed this video in the last year, as well as everyone who left CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Just wanted to let everyone know that this video helped to get me recruited and I will be attending Guilford College (NCAA Div III) in the fall. Go Quakers!
No offence dude...I understand the criticism, i just got to defend myself. I can see why you saw it the way you did, I'm just trying to explain my logic. Where do you play?
2 seam fastball 81-87??? thats a big difference. what you hit 87 once on a radar gun and you say you throw 87? i hit 147 on a radar gun but i dont throw 147mph
It sounds like you need to worrly less about my pitching and getting a radar gun that works properly. Just kidding. Its not that I hit 87 once, I am consistantly in the mid-80's. It's just that I do change speeds at times to throw off the batter. The Art of Pitching = The Art of Deception.
I really don't see anything that impressive. The D1 catcher above was correct: you really don't use your legs as much as you could, and your follow though could be longer. Maybe if you get your legs built up you could drive off the rubber more, which also might stop you from dragging your back toe. Overall though, I give you a 6.5/10.
Former college Div 1 cathcer here and i wanted to let you know that you're showing some major inconsistency in your delivery that may lead to you tipping your pitches. You speed up on some and slow down on others...i would get away from it and it also may be from fatigue. Your follow through isn't very powerful, it seems like you may be able to get extra mph if you tone up and hit the weights and really get your legs stronger. You should def get some good looks from some good schools.
one mechanical suggestion you can take or leave: you seem to drag your back foot a little on the cheese and the deuce. this may be keeping your velocity down a little bit.
good video man just a couple things, first do you have a 4-seamer? and your 2-seamer shouldn't range that much? next you should try to get some more clear shots of you pitching, even if it's in your back yard just to add in to this and have the camera behind you so they can see the movement. reminds me of me trying to get into college, if you want i can talk to my coach at the division 2 level for you in wisconsin
i like how lcgroves comments saying ur not that good and u say what team u play for and he doesnt answer back? wtf

Hes not that great, I went 3-4 off him when he pitched, the ball is easy to pick up of his windup. Plus, he doesnt even throw that hard.

ok, i gave it another look after wondering why the foot drag.
you may be throwing across your body just a tad. your strid seems to be a bit off center (towards the 3rd base line).
overall very, very good though.
